    weakening kobolds

It's true that a human Ftr4 and a hobgoblin Ftr4 would get different amounts of XP, in general. The hobgoblin Ftr4 would get the same amount of XP that a human Ftr5 would get, one place lower on the experience chart.

    weakening kobolds

Yes, primary spellcasters would benefit greatly from negative LA. As a result, to be balanced, the -1 LA kobald would need fair penalties to all mental stats (-2 or -4). One problem of negative LA (in fact, of all LA) is that it doesn't scale well with levels. A level 2 fighter is a lot...

The biggest (and coolest) miniature ever!!!

I tried that. It's harder than it looks, and the picture I made was pretty badly striped.

[Epic] Feats and Progressions for review

I like the feats, I'll have to read them over carefully and give comments in a bit. For the moment: How do you intend Instant Spell to compare to Multispell?

Epic Bestiary Monster & Template Creations

Interesting creatures. I'd like it if you started each post with a short explanation of the creature's purpose -- why you, in the RW, made the creature. Here's an example of what I mean (using some of my own creations): Mystic: I created this class as a replacement for the monk. After making...

    Wizards rule all?

What's the universal spell seed? Where does the special requirement come from?

Beta Testers Required for Software Program

If you still need testers, I'd be willing to help out. I have the .NET Framework installed already. Email: <-- username (at) gmail.com If not, good luck with your program!

[Adamant Entertainment] New d20 MasterKit Releases

I bought Expert Feats. Nice idea, neat pictures (not made for the PDF, of course). The feats actually seem on the powerful side -- since I won't deny my players the chance to take the feats I allow for my NPCs, I may end up toning these down a bit. I guess that means my campaign is...

[Dawning Star] Helios Rising Art Preview

That art is so good it hurts.

    An Obsolete Rogue

As a DM, I've had perhaps 20 rogues in my parties, and I'd be suprised if as many as half maxed out even two of these skills.

Gods and Demon Lords, how do you handle them?

As for aspects, I have no use for standard aspects (or generally even avatars). If a deity needs to send a messenger, it will be a standard outsider, a mortal worshipper, or a substanceless 'aspect'. If they're for sending messages, there's no need to have them fight -- and if they're going...

Which WotC base classes fill the 4 core roles well?

I like your analysis, but I have trouble seeing the ranger filling the role of the healer. A cleric is a healer; a paladin is less good than a cleric for healing, but works in a pinch. A ranger, with slower access to healing spells and no lay on hands (both w.r.t. paladins), just isn't up to...

    An Epic Setting

I'd prefer 32 to test the waters, then a 64 if the first is successful.

Which DND God would you worship?

Likewise, I'm pretty devoted to YHWH and would have to stay in His service. It was pretty hard for me to even contemplate the question, until I saw Balgus' comment: "Just want to know which DND God best matches your ideals." Using this as the qustion ("What D&D god best matches your ideals?")...

Gods and Demon Lords, how do you handle them?

In my campaign, the weakest true god is Ebon. He is protected primarily by his status and alliances. He has about 23 Hit Dice, CR perhaps 27. Of course, Ebon is in an unusual position, with many strong allies of widely varying philosophies and alignments. The weakest gods beyond this level...

Looking for worthwhile Swashbuckler & Noble/Aristocrat classes. Any suggestions?

I happened across a site shortly before reading your post that has "PC-grade NPC classes". http://users.powernet.co.uk/aaargh/ See if they're anything like what you want.

    An Epic Setting

I'm not sure. MEG's original setting may have been, and Bastion might have put one out. Nothing else comes to mind, but I'm sure there are others -- especially among the less-well-known companies. What about Dunham Studio's Elemental Lands? That might be, as well.

    Epic feats at 1st

That's a really good analysis, Lorehead. I have a few questions and comments: What's the Automatic Quicken Spell version in Complete Arcane? Arcane Thesis? Interestingly, I let a character in one of my campaigns take Polyglot at 15th level. Epic Dodge is one of the strongest choices. It's...

    An Epic Setting

Prsonally, I would be more likely to buy it if it was all-OGC (excepting perhaps PI like the city's name and names of major citizens), even though I don't intend to publish any setting, much less one based on someone else's work. I don't know how many other people feel that way.
