Immortals Handbook Epic Bestiary (now available)

Ending in 5 isn't very significant. The significance is the number of 1s in the binary representation of the number. Figuring it out exactly would be hard without seeing the rest of Yeenoghu's stats. Still, the basic facts you gave are that he has a "base" Leadership score of 82 and 483600...

Immortals Handbook Epic Bestiary (now available)

Knight Otu, thanks. That's exactly what I meant. Yes, those particular numbers won't occur -- I chose an example off the top of my head, not using a calculator or table. It's not hard to find examples of this, though -- consider 40 to 41 Leadership. 40 has a 14th level follower under your...

Immortals Handbook Epic Bestiary (now available)

The right guess is fairly obvious, actually, but let's not get into it here. I'll try to update my Leadrship calculator for your rules as I get the chance. Let F be the number of 2nd-level followers. Under the standard system: There are between 12F-1 and 12F+ceil(lg F)-2 total followers*...

Immortals Handbook Epic Bestiary (now available)

Have you seen WotC's Yeenoghu writeup for Hordes of the Abyss? What do you think? Obviously, your version is a fair bit more powerful.... Speaking of your version -- how strong is it, really? Any idea of the HD or CR? Haffrung Helleyes seems to be concerned about the HotA Yeenoghu's Int...

    Epic feats at 1st

It would work just fine (although balance is anyone's guess) as long as you, the DM, choose the feats. Too many epic feats build on class abilities or other feats to make this work otherwise.

    Another polearm feat

Yes, and polearms generally have one other benefit. The comparison isn't quite direct.

    Another polearm feat

Of course, polearms have better damage and criticals than spiked chains, which are quite weak in that regard.

Immortals Handbook Epic Bestiary (now available)

For those keeping track at home, it would normally take a Leadership score of 4866 to get 483,600 followers. Yeenoghu would have to gain almost 10,000 Cha to get that score. ;) I don't like your idea as written. Consider a character with 65,535 2nd-level followers. By the standard rules...

    Top 10 odd D&D weapons

Long, since they need to discourage large monsters from swallowing you whole. Probably as long as 2". On armor designed for footmen, the spikes on the upper half of the body would be curved downward to reduce the amount of force they'd catch on a typical blow; for horseman armor, only the...

The ally summoning ability of demons and devils.

That's fine, as long as it's with your eyes open. If you realize that the DMG says specifically not to give more XP when fighting a creature summoned by another, and that the MM CRs are balanced with that assumption, do whatever you like as DM. Certainly, I can see the social arguments for it.

    Free wish for a feat?

I must have been working off an older version of Split Ray, then. I don't have CA. As it's an Epic feat, there's no point in speculating on how strong it might be as a subepic feat. Generally, though, I don't agree that considering the most powerful 5th-6th levels spells is useful here; the...

    The Tarrasque miniature project.

Well, it's been a long time but I'm curious. Any progress? Can we see another photo? Last year's pictures looked great. The project is very ambitious, but I think you can do it. :)

    Free wish for a feat?

I'm not sure what metamagic you're doing. Split Ray can't affect enervation, and two metamagic feats are applied separately, not together. But regardless of what you're doing, a sorcerer who takes enervation can do the same with a slot one level lower, so that's not really a concern to me...

    Top 10 odd D&D weapons

I don't have any problem at all with spiked armor. I do agree with you that it should have an AC penalty -- at least, most should -- and I'd be generous and make it -1 or possibly -2. I think that in a world with monsters that eat you whole spiked armor makes a lot of sense, even if it does...

    Free wish for a feat?

I tend to agree. My feat is an epic feat with hard prerequisites that removes the XP cost for limited wish and reduces it for wish. My theory is that by the level you get all of this, you're powerful enough that it isn't unbalancing. What do you think? Also, what do you think of comrade...

    Another polearm feat

No, that's not my intention. I wrote "dealing damage" as a quarterstaff of your size, not "functioning" or "attacking" as a quarterstaff of your size. I don't think that that's unrealistic, necessarily, since the haft would be able to strike as well. I don't think it would be unbalanced...

    A Few New Feats

    I like the feats, Terraism.

    Free wish for a feat?

The feat was popular in my campaign. If you'd like, you could change it to a nonepic feat (drop caster level to 18th), but given its power I'd tend to leave it as written. I hope you get some use out of it. Krelios: In my experience, players were willing to take a feat they didn't need (Iron...

    An Epic Setting

RPGNow is preferable to DTRPG, that is. If it was really good I'd buy it at DTRPG, but RPGNow is my preference. Plus, I think they take less of a cut of the purchase price. Good. I think this is the most important part. The more modular the suggestions are, the more useful to potential...

Immortals Handbook Epic Bestiary (now available)

I told Christian Janke I hoped it would come before my birthday (October). I've been disappointed with that same guess in the past, but this could be the year. :D
