What ever happened to Wyvern's Claw Design?

Its been months since a site update so I can only assume they've shut down. Its a shame because they had some really good adventurers that you could play with one person. They were nice for when you couldn't manage to get the whole together. Anyone know what happened to them?

Mass Combat: Militray Tactics Old and New!

Some of the cities may have done that but I know Athens had every male citizen train two years in the army. Spartans of course went way beyond this with training their entire lives.

    Another Greece question.

I have another Greece question that I've been unable to find the answer for. What was the area that Mycenae controlled. For instance Athens controlled Attica. I'm playing in a post dark ages campaign and I'm trying to find what the now abandoned area would be referred to as by others. Thanks.

Another question...what did the Greeks use for paper? I'm trying to figure out how long a scroll could last. I don't think eqyptian papyrus would have been imported so what? Animal skins?

Also, a question on names. I seems that first names are all that are ever used by the greeks. Sometimes you will hear Isocrates of Athens. Or Isocrates son of Syriscos. Did last names not exist or were they just not used?

    Greece Campaign Questions.

I have the date of "Sparta begins conquering Messenia" as 730 B.C. What I'm generally looking for is the state of borders after Athens becomes a democracy.(around 510 B.C.) If that to precise Just "after the dark ages" would be good enough. I'm afraid I'm not following you on "W-E over"...

    Greece Campaign Questions.

Dark Ages Greece was after the "barbarian" invasion that destroyed Mycaneae and most of Greece...as well as the whole concept of palace society. The barbarians had metal weapons and the Greeks only bronze. The art of writing was lost and just about everything else. Its considered the division...

    Greece Campaign Questions.

As my game draws ever closer I've got a few questions left.... 1) Anyone know of any maps that show territory divided up by city state? The one I found in Gurps Greece is great but only show Athens and a few of the surrounding territories. 2) Anyone have any concrete example Athenian military...

    Cover other games?--- Err No

I can see things getting cluttered to the point of not being worth the effort of sorting through. On the otherhand...if it were on a seperate page and kept in a seperate forum (Only one for god sakes!) I don't really have a problem with it....as long as Forum speed remained the same.
