    What happens to the "suboptimal?"

That isn't really an issue. Furthermore, Strength saving throws are more usual than Dex saving throws for most of the game. Dex saves are spellcaster and dragon issues, and Strength saves are very common in beasts, mounts and whatnot. Strength martials have usually better AC and damage, and more...

Dealing with spellcasters as a martial

Both from a DM's and a player's perspective, dealing with spellcasters is difficult. This difficulty don't reside on raw power, but instead on their flexibility. One never can be too prepared to them: Have you achieved somehow Fire resistance? The wizard hits you with a ligthing bolt. High Dex...

Here's the Abyssal Sibriex From Mordenkainen's Tome

You are not counting maneuvers damage. +6 on average. Nor feats like Lucky nor Inspiration rules.

A fighter could. 3 attacks + Action Surge + maneuvers/ critical hits/ samurai multiple attacks + feats + magic weapon.

Here's the Abyssal Sibriex From Mordenkainen's Tome

Actually, the Paladin is better at healing poison and disease than the cleric. Clerics only do that by spells like lesser restoration; paladins can cure them by expending 5 HP of their Lay on Hands. They don't need to expend them anywhere else, as probably this monster will kill everyone via Warp.

Here's the Abyssal Sibriex From Mordenkainen's Tome

I'm betting that Feeblemind is a better suit for the fighter, as it is an intelligence save. The wizard is more prone to succeed on such a save. Wizard could be better suited to a Squirt Vile.

Here's the Abyssal Sibriex From Mordenkainen's Tome

Except for the sad hit points (it don't even have enough movement to get away), it is excelent. Love, absolutely love Warp Creature. It is the first monster that does use of Exhaustion levels.

D&D 5E (2014) Awarding One Magic Weapon only to each player in a campaign

They aren't replaced. Best case scenario, they are upgraded in a magic forge or something. That's how the rogue in my old campaign obtained a Lifedrinker shortsword, from a demonic origin +1 short sword. In my campaign, as a player I don't even count on having a +1 sword. I've just silvered...

    D&D 5E (2014) (Analysis) Shield Master

Necrothreader attacks again! Although I'm not really a fan of the whole "DPR" issue, I'm going to add some empyrical perspective. I have a 5th level Strength based fighter, battlemaster, shieldmaster. Since I have this feat (I'm variant human so... it was the first one to pick), I became the...

Archdevil Moloch (Mordenkainen's tome of foes preview from Dragon+)

Even isn't deadly. Even is 50%-50%. Even is a fight in which each side has equal opportunity to win. It isn't the USA bombing Bolivia. It's a full scale war between China and USA. Is a football match between Argentina and Brazil.

Archdevil Moloch (Mordenkainen's tome of foes preview from Dragon+)

That is an unearthed arcana. It wasn't the premise of the DMG. A level 20 creature would have to be an even fight for a level 20 group of four. I know that it is actually an easy fight (the XP doesn't match the Average level fight) but a level 21 should be at least difficult. If not, why bother...

Archdevil Moloch (Mordenkainen's tome of foes preview from Dragon+)

Currently, I don't. I use to DM a group that ended when they hit level 15, but now one of the members has moved to Spain (I'm Argentinian) and another has diagnosed schizophrenia, so he isn't very available. This group was incredibly powerful by then. I made the mistake of giving them a ring of...

Archdevil Moloch (Mordenkainen's tome of foes preview from Dragon+)

No. Only bull-headed parties will get crushed. 120 feet of movement don't really make the difference. My 5th-level fighter already can move faster, without any magic items: only a warhorse, and a lvl 1 spell (longstrider), 140 feet. I even use this to become a lightning bruiser (Lance + Horse=...

Archdevil Moloch (Mordenkainen's tome of foes preview from Dragon+)

Exactly. Find Steed. Find greater steed, if the paladin is Level 13. Most likely, a paladin will be mounting his steed if encounters Moloch on an open ground. Jumping and Misty step, in case that it is a OA or OV paladin, if Moloch is flying at 30 feet. An OV paladin can also cast haste on...

Archdevil Moloch (Mordenkainen's tome of foes preview from Dragon+)

Sorry, maybe I'm missing something, but he can teleport as an action (thus, negating the attack) or legendary action (thus, before a character's turn), so he can't attack=>withdraw or teleport. And his regeneration is negated by radiant damage: A lvl 12 paladin always adds radiant damage to his...

Archdevil Moloch (Mordenkainen's tome of foes preview from Dragon+)

It is a tad weak. A level 12 party will not have many problems dealing with him. Heck, a level 12 paladin could take it with ease. It's hit points are negligible, and its resistances won't make up, as they are very easy to circumvent

D&D 5E (2014) Which classes would you like to see added to D&D 5e, if any? (check all that apply)

Many things you are listing already have a common representative... In the PHB. Ninjas are the Way of the Shadow (they even call them ninjas). And in many ways, an Assassin rogue covers much of the ground, only with a cultural approximation. The witch is the warlock, only female.

    D&D 5E (2014) Improvised actions in combat

The way I see it, it is a big and fundamental approach to gaming. THE big turnover for me in 3.X / 4thE era was the "Hard Rules" approach to gaming: you couldn't attempt anything if you don't have a specific rule that grants you such thing. That is, if you want to throw sand in the eyes of an...

    D&D 5E (2014) Improvised actions in combat

Sand in the eyes actually could be a bonus action, with an easy saving throw (DC 10) such as the net. Attempting more than once such a trick could grant advantage to the save. After all, it just adds the blinded condition for one round. What you are describing is an abuse more than an...

    D&D 5E (2014) Improvised actions in combat

BEHOLD THE MIGHTY THREAD NECROMANCER! I, both as a DM and as a player, enjoy very much improvised actions, and I've come up with a solution for adjudicating "tricky" actions, using base attacks as a standard. An improvisation has a usefulness factor: sometimes, the effects are greater than an...
