Where do you guys usually search for inspiration? from books you've read? maybe some anime/serie? music? The best source of inspiration I found for me, are the songs of the great Luca Turilli. he is the master of Power Metal and his lyrics always gave me great plots. Like this one...

weel, it's not that odd, at least on my campaigns it wouldn't be. I treat my monks like a buddhist kind of character. upon reaching lvl 20, it's like if they had achieved a buddha -like state. "A Buddha is a person who has developed all positive qualities and eliminated all negative qualities...

I agree with the "if you want a spell that's not from the phb, then it will require a side-quest" I'll use it on my next campaign. wizards and clerics will have access to the phb spells, and maybe a few low-lvl "extra-phb" spells, if they want more than those, they have to research them, spend...

hmm. you have a good point. Our dm lost her net-connection, so I'll have to wait a while before talking to her about that. about the sneak attacks. if I grapple an opponent, and get hit by a sneakt attack, do I lose the grapple?

i see...than it would become impossible for him to get Diamond body, but the flurry of blows should continue to evolve no? after all it's part of the monk's fighting abilities. something he would gain through physical training, not mental training

and does that mean that he would only stop getting those abilities like imunity to poison, or the furry of blows too?
