Hell's Invasion Prologue (Evan Tyler) [IC]

http://www.enworld.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=70954&d=1444314765Evan cringes at the sound of the creature's claws on the charger's paint job. The director was gonna be pissed ... assuming he survived the day. He angled the rear view mirror to catch a view of his pursuer. "Okay...

[D&D 5E] Securing the Alliance: An Adventure in Tethyr (IC)

Lorenzo nods at Boddynock's statement. "It does seem most people are mentioning the manor in association with the ogres. I suggest we start that direction, and away from the roads, Corilo may have more luck tracking them." He looks around for a likely fellow and picks out one of the newly...

D&D 5E (2014) hafrogman's Hoard of the Dragon Queen (full)

Yeah, I think the general reading is "Is it on the ranged weapon table?" so snowballs not so much. That said, if I had a player who wanted to specialize in thrown weapons, I'd slap some sense into them. But failing that I'd allow them to create a "throwing" style.

FF has it. It's spelled out in the equipment section. It is an improvised weapon, you make a ranged attack (dex as it has no special rules to trump the standard ranged attack rules). Range 20ft. Technically the rules only cover splashing then burning, but I'll allow you to throw a lit pint to...

D&D 5E (2014) [OOC] Securing the Alliance: An Adventure in Tethyr [ENDED]

So OOC do we have enough to piece together a path for the ogres now? It seems a lot of people have mentioned the castle? And Boddynock knows where the castle is? Or just knows OF it?

Yeah, throwing would be an action. Druidcraft is also an action. But lighting a molotov from an existing flame is fine as an interaction.

He shrugs. "Aye, I suppose, if you have need. Let Escobert know anything you take, though. Else he'll drive him self mad come time for inventory." All the spears and padded vests you could ever want, sorry.

    Hell's Invasion [Recruiting]

Yeah, feel free to read over the prologue post if you like and you can see what Evan's been up to. He started out on a movie set (hanging out with a guy named Mike, oddly enough). So I guess the biggest question is, how far into his acting career is Michael Close? Is he fresh off the boat, as...

The Governor nods. "Aye, the basement has most of our spare supplies. Feel free to find what use of it you may... within reason, of course." You can find some lamp oil, rope, basic supplies, etc. Lemme know what you want/are taking.

[D&D 5E] Securing the Alliance: An Adventure in Tethyr (IC)

Lorenzo follows Gnorth to the wagon and orders his own breakfast, trying (but not very hard) to keep a straight face following the bard's non sequitur. He is, however, able to resist the temptation to order coq au vin, barely. He smiles charmingly at the woman and nods to the devastation...

Hell's Invasion Prologue (Evan Tyler) [IC]

http://www.enworld.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=70954&d=1444314765Evan's eyes meet the creature's as it turns to face him. He flinches slightly as the severed head rolls off his windshield, but keeps his hands steady, narrating to himself. "Alright, step one complete - you've got his...

D&D 5E (2014) [IC] hafrogman's Hoard of the Dragon Queen

The Governor nods. "Yes, my task now falls to interrogating the prisoner and determining what we can. I doubt he will be talkative, so this may get unpleasant." He calls Sergeant Markguth over to him and the two go to retrieve the prisoner. "You have all been instrumental in this operation...

Correct, yeah. It's a cultist who hangs out with kobolds a lot. I thought I'd posted a picture of the Dragonclaw, but I guess not. You'll meet more later.

D&D 5E (2014) [OOC] A Light Hearted Princes of Elemental Evil Hack and Slash

To 'Help' you have to be adjacent to the target, not the helpee. Carradoc is probably just better off trying to chill touch something with his ranged cantrips. Even with the cover penalties, he's contributing.

    D&D 5E (2014) [IC] Creamsteak's Princes of Elemental Evil

Tolan stands ready, holding his position in the hall and waiting for the duergar to come to him, luring them out for the others to deal with. Action: Dodge AC: 19 HP 34/41 Exhausted 1: Disadvantage on ability checks. Dodge: Disadvantage on attacks against me.

    D&D 5E (2014) [5E][OOC] Across the Faerun-iverse

Yes, your second reading is correct. The statblock should be read as "Reach = 5 ft" that is to say, the creature has a reach of 5ft, not the reach property. 5e, unlike 3rd most notably, uses independent rule sets for monsters and characters. So characters' weapons can have the 'reach'...

[D&D 5E] Securing the Alliance: An Adventure in Tethyr (IC)

Lorenzo joins the others downstairs, greeting everyone with a friendly mien, not quite noticing how Brue is unwilling to meet his eyes. He waves off Devlin's apologies as the innkeeper emerges. "We understand these are unusual circumstances. Thank you for accommodating us as much as you...
