    So you do add the cohort? OK, I wasn't sure about that. The group just lost it's second fighter, so it's now a tank (14th lvl rgr/brb) with a evoker cohort, a utility wizard and a charismatic rogue..

    How do you calculate the average level in, say a group of 3 PCs? x + x + x = y / 4 ? Like, in my group there are a 14th level, one 11 and one 12.. do you add them together (37) and divide by 4 ? So that the average level is 9 ? Won't it be too easy on them to run an adventure for 9th level...

    Hmm.. now where to get hold of that 2nd edition book... might be more trouble than it's worth. Do you know of any other 3 ed monster particularly suited to the task of battling wizards? I have a rather arrogant wizard in my party and I want to knock him back a few pegs... :cool:

    Cheers, I found that too, and I also remembera reference saying that a character should be able to move 5 foot in one round whatever the obstacles. Unless it is impassable of course.

    If there is snow (2 movement cost) and light undergrowth underneath (2 movement cost), does it cost 4 squares to move? And if there is heavy undergrowth + snow, will it cost you 6 squares? Meaning that a halfling needs a full round action to move one square?

    Explosive Cascade and Firebrand

    A wizard in my group recently chose Firebrand when he got access to 5th level spells, and I was also skeptical about the spell. If you have to tweak it, set the max damage to 10d6. It is still a highly useful spell as you quite freely can chose which opponents to hit.
