I want to run a 2e Darksun campaign. What books do I need? I've got all of the stuff to run 2e Player's Option (I've been running 3e for a while now, might be interesting to switch back), but have nothing on Darksun but interest. Thanks.

Feat or talent, it will be in my game. I don't hand out many magic weapons, so if someone has a character concept reliant on an ancestral weapon, the option will be there. Deciding if it falls into the feat category or is a talent isn't a call I can make without having seen the rules.

I am stealing this for my next campaign... pure genius. What could better to explore a character than to play them as a child?

Used that exact thing on the tortured druid (boilig oil on face). Also had his left (offhand) ring finger cut off. I didn't worry about a permanent penalty: I play rugby with a guy with a missing ring finger, and he doesn't have any problems. He liked him ecarred up and scary.
