    Vital Strike Questions

Spring attack works fine with Vital Strike. It allows you to interrupt your move with a Standard action. This feat chain makes for a great skirmish character, no need for a fancy class or PrC at all.

    Manyshot Change?

Frankthedm got it. For the old Manyshot see the new Vital Strike feats. Pretty easy to convert. Bonus damage and no penalties to-hit. Still want that penalty to-hit? Take up Deadly Aim and trade a -1 attack for +2 damage that scales as you level, very nice.

    What has been fixed?

You might check out NPC creation and gear section (the new skill system also makes stat prep easier), the XP budget encounter design, and the new design rules for monsters in the upcoming Bestiary if you're interested in reducing prep time for 3.x.

    Shifting to Core

For all those lovely times when iterative attacks (i.e. full attack) just aren't an option! Got a mobility fight on your hands where foes are moving around or flying about? Lets say you just finished a foe with your latest full attacks but have to move to continue the carnage? Move next to a...

What do you do when the rules don't allow something?

What's wrong with running "hunting the dragon down and catching it unawares for a fight" as a skill challenge? If the PCs lose the skill challenge the dragon ambushes them and still the fight. Its more about ego than anything else for a dragon anyways. They've lived for hundreds of years while...

    Solo play options

You could try these out: http://paizo.com/paizo/messageboards/paizo/products/v5748btpy87ko That one is collection of 10 solo adventures.

    Dark Alleys Are Still Safe?

Hate to nitpick here but sunlight would be "Bright Light" while shade beneath a tree would be "Normal Light" conditions per the rules. Normal light (your "shade" on a bright sunny day) does not provide concealment.

Pathfinder 1E Would You Buy DDI-Pathfinder?

Nope. I have more than enough already with free programs. Not likely to pay for what I already have or can generate on my own. That is, unless someone comes along and kills all my access to these things and murders all other independent endeavers (with a cease and desist order) to creatively...

    High Level Rogues

The additional rogue talents gained at every even level, from 2nd level on, adds a lot with the ability to select a combat feat or a rogue special ability. If wanting to go combat rogue this helps a lot in keeping up with the fellow front-liners being able to invest in both defensive feats...

Pathfinder 1E Why do you discuss Pathfinder on ENWorld instead of Paizo.com?

I visit both the Paizo and ENWorld forums. Here I love having one place to go for everything Pathfinder. As for the reason why I enjoy coming to ENWorld, its the quality of posters and posts found here to be honest. I find them to be quite above average in usefulness as far as internet message...

Pathfinder 1E RPG.net ripping Pathfinder apart

I too noticed a distinct difference, not in quality of posts and posters as several good threads can be found there as well as great posters, but in the volume of spit & fury that is often found over there concerning Pathfinder. I was originally thrilled to find some good critical discussion of...

    What are your houserules?

I'm going to have to take a look and mull some of it over for a while I think. Cover all the spell changes, combat tweaks, check out some of the changes to skills, and the new feats. I'm tempted to houserule at the moment are the Metamagic feats and I'm definately adding my own Hero/Action Point...

    Trailblazer now available!

Gratz on the release Wulf! I've been following ever since you started and I've enjoyed the previews. I picked up my pdf and now I'm off to Kinkos to print me off a nice big copy to sit down with some coffee and peruse. Thanks!

    GenCon Core Book Sold Out?

I imagine that it would be an easy assumption among folks who have been following Paizo (i.e. fans) that with the sold-out 1st print run of the Pathfinder RPG to distrubuters that this would also happen to retailers (as well as @ GenCon) when in fact this doesn't neccessarily follow. Paizo is an...

PF Paladin Lay on hands ability

Nothing wrong with having an opinion about a game you haven't tried playing. Just don't be surprised if others don't give it much weight. We just converted our two games over to Pathfinder with 11 characters making the move over. This week will be our first look at how it plays for us at the...

    Saving Throws and Spells

Bah no worries man. I'm still irked nothing was ever done to change the dubiously useful metamagic feats. A lot of folk are excited about the new release certainly but no one ever claimed PF fixed *all* of the possible issues from 3.5e. You can check out the PRD yourself and read the rules to...

    Saving Throws and Spells

The feature of gaining higher level spell slots to combat more powerful monsters remains in PF. As in previous editions, a handful of low level spells useful against low level foes (burning hands, fear, sleep, etc.) are swapped for more utility and defensive-based spells (Alarm, Comprehend...

Appreciation to the Mods for this new Forum

Yes thanks so much ENWorld for the great new forum!

    Build Quality

Oh the binding is amazing. Rarely have I ever seen a book with nearly 600 pages...lay flat! Goodbye fighting with pages trying to turn over.

PF Paladin Lay on hands ability

It does seem like a lot at-a-glance but given that LoH can be used to channel and aid a smite attack (via the feat) I imagine it would get burned through quickly at that level.
