That old flash lingo. Thieves' Cant revisited.

Do either of you have the Pepper? Or should I just trolley my crackers? I booked the snake on one or two, but couldn't right-wipe the cupper.

What kind of player are you

The idea is that everybody who plays the game does so to have fun. The question is: "Which of the listed options does the best job of making the game fun for you?"

What kind of player are you

Whether you are normally a player or DM, the question is the same. I've been rereading chapter 1 of DMG II and thinking about the question of different play styles and wondered what you think your CHIEF motivations/interest is. I'm the kind of player who really enjoys: Accumulating Cool...

    Magical Plants and Fruit

I think that the layout looks cool, that I'll have to look more at the vast potential of desktop publishing, and that art sells better than words. Perhaps to avoid trampling all over others who have made a habit of publishing "101 x," we might call it something else. Arcane Harvest? Magical...

I Agree. Perhaps if ENWorld is keeping all of the proceeds, it could be published by ENPress.

    1 on 1 adventures

IME, 1-on-1 adventuring takes a fair amount of DM fudging and adjudication. I haven't looked at any of the current crop of such adventures, tempted though I am, but the limits of a one-person adventuring party are difficult to surmount without DM intervention.

    Magical Plants and Fruit

Yeah, I liked potion-fruits, too. They were a good illustration of terrific 2nd Ed campaign setting design stretching beyond the capacity of clunky 2nd Ed rules. Now, potion-fruits don't seem like such a departure, especially considering things like the item creation rules in Arcana Evolved...

    Magical Plants and Fruit

I've been thinking about magical plants and fruit and about plants that might occur in a magic-rich setting, but which we do not have in our world. I've got a few idea that I like and I'll share, but I'd like to see what, if any similar ideas others have employed, or even just conceived of, for...

    Dwarven Language Resources?

I have Races of Stone and Dragon 278. What other resources am I missing for advice on the Dwarven language?

    Name that race

This is exactly the kind of exchange I expect to see at my gaming table. I was all over the name Carcataur until you pointed out that all of my players are wise-ass Abbott and Costello linguists.

    Name that race

I should mention that I have not settled on the name Gulotaur. It's functional and descriptive, but by wife hates it as it reminds her of girallon, competitor for the world's dumbest monster.

    Name that race

I forgot to include that as I don't use standard preferred class rules, but I imagine that the template probably calls for fighter, as that's the dwarves' preferred class, but I would probably go with barbarian. It makes sense with the disposition I would expect for this race and with strength...

    Name that race

By the way, for those of you interested in rolling up your own Gulotaur, Large Monstrous Humanoid (Dwarf) Movement: 30, Climb 10 Hit Dice: 5d8 Armor Class: +4 natural Attack 2 claws, +5 melee (1d6 +Str) Special Attack: Rage Special Qualities: Scent, Low-light vision, Darkvision 60' Abilities: S...

    Name that race

Yeah, /fratsfErg/. It didn't occur to me to specify that I would keep the original pronunciation. "Bearded Burrowers" certainly fits a certain trend in D&D - the descriptive, two-word name protocol advocated in the build-your-own-monster article in Dragon at the advent of 3.0. Lupech is cool...

Yeah, so far, I really like Frazwerg - but then, I don't read Cyrillic.

I referenced the translator at dictionary.com and got: German "wolverine man" - Vielfrassmann Chinese - ?????

    Name that race

yeah, I'm pretty stoked. They're CR5 by RAW, but I haven't figured out an ECL yet. I just wish I had the artistic talent to draw one. Usually, a wemic has slightly leonine facial features. I'm thinking that this dwarf should have mustulidine facial features. mustulidine? Did I just make...

    Name that race

Knowing how much I love both dwarves and wolverines, my sweet wife made me up a tauric dwarf/dire wolverine PC as a surprise gift. I love it so much, I'm adding a new (N)PC race to my campaign. Problem is, I need a name for the race. What do they call themselves? Certainly not tauric...
