ZEITGEIST Are high resolution maps available for VTTs?

Sounds awesome. And that would be Zeitgeist #1, Island at the Axis of the World, then?

ZEITGEIST Are high resolution maps available for VTTs?

Sorry, I'll just butt in here: @Tormyr what's the status of Zeitgeist 5e on R20? Looks like my offline group will migrate to Roll20 soon, and I'd love to get the adventures there. Your work on WotbS looks fabulous, as far as I can see, so getting Zeitgeist on the same quality level would be...

DDAL Season 10 information very little at the moment

Posting here to get updates, as I'm rather interested in S10 (or anything Icewind Dale).

    D&D 5E (2014) D&D Celebration Schedule Announced

Which game would be the epic event? I can't find any description matching that (but I'm also a bloody newb).

Blog (A5E) Meet Our ‘Level Up’ Team!

Heck of a lineup! I was honestly a bit lukewarm about the project (not much for RP crunch) but seeing who is involved, I'm like 90% likely to get a copy. 👍

D&D General [Help] Playing D&D online with strangers

Just as an aside: you could start out by playing online with your established local group. It's what I did, and it works just fine, using Roll20, DnDBeyond and Jitsi for talking.

Game Masters: Shooting Your Own Campaign in the Foot

Sounds actually pretty cool. I mean, THAT'S what freeform sandbox RP is all about, right? I've never had anything like that happen as GM, but I'm exclusively playing premade published campaigns.

D&D 5E (2014) And just like that, no one cares about Frostmaiden any longer

I am still 100% stokes for Frostmaiden and don't care at all for Tasha. Just saying. :)

D&D 5E (2014) Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden - Terrifying things are burried under the ice!

A bit spoilery (but I AM hardcore sensitive in regards to spoilers), but also intriguing. Very very stoked for the book.

    D&D 5E (2014) Long Rest is a Problem

The way I see it, if you want more 'realistic wounds play WFRP or The Dark Eye. D&D (at least in its current iteration) plays in a different ball game, it's more about the story than the simulation. (Disclaimer: I love WFRP, TDE and D&D, each for what they are)

The Dark Eye - Gods of Aventuria Interview

As someone who played TDE back at it's beginning, I can support what's being said in the interview. TDE is crunchy, characters feel more like people and less like superheroes (which matches the feel of the world perfectly), and the world is varied, engaging, colorful. It's really a quite fun rp.

DDAL DDAL - Thoughts and questions

I am admittedly oscillating all over the spectrum a bit, but: How viable would it be to start CoS at level 7 or 8 and actually play it through? It's just that one of the players of this group has the most horrible work schedule, and I am kinda questioning the wisdom of running two groups for...

D&D 5E (2014) How good is the healer feat compared to Hit Dice?

Sorry, I might be off here, but isn't the assumption that a D6 averages at 3.5? I mean, (1+2+3+4+5+6)/6=3.5 Right?

WotBS Question about #2, The Fire Forest (spoiler!)

(All this from memory and running that I. 5e 5 years ago or so) Kazyk is shrewd, and certainly doesn't see a point in making his life more difficult than strictly necessary. So, if he can bargain for a way to fulfilling his orders (something, as @RangerWickett rightly points out, he disposes...

D&D General D&D History 101: Origins of Classes

I still distinctly recall when our then-GM (one of the best I ever had the pleasure of playing with) switched to AD&D mid-campaign. We suddenly had a monk and a ranger, and all of us players were really intrigued by the changes. We had a blast.

DDAL DDAL - Thoughts and questions

I picked up Riddle of the Raven Queen during stay-at-home and it looks like it might be well worth it. I could possibly fabricate some connection between the elves in Slay a Dragon and the ones from Dripping Leaves, just to get stuff started. I'll let you know, but it will be months before we...

DDAL DDAL - Thoughts and questions

Thanks @jayoungr those are good points. If fact, I'm coming to the conclusion that running the existing party through the top-half of any DDAL season is just not viable. Even Tyranny of Dragons seems to have ties back to the tier 1 stuff that would just suck missing out on (besides, they just...
