D&D General DnD Dungeon Crawl help

Whats the digital piece for exactly? To run it with remote people or if not what is the advantage over running it on paper yourself like the old days? Eventually I will add a Basic/Expert, 1e etc editions to dndcombat.com simulator so you could do it there, but thats much later in the year as...

Greyhawk module before Scourge of the slave lords?

Just because it was written 30 years later to feel like a 1980s module as opposed to being an original 80's child.

Did anyone else run high level campaigns in 2e ?

nice, we have a Lich, but my players were too competitive to allow one to become a deity lol, the others would have to become ones too.

Did anyone else run high level campaigns in 2e ?

I can't remember how it came about but we definitely had one session with PvP, that was a lot of fun and fairly balanced despite a wide variety of classes.

Did anyone else run high level campaigns in 2e ?

One of the characters had Psionics, it was cool, never had a problem with it in the campaign.

Did anyone else run high level campaigns in 2e ?

interesting, very different campaign. I certainly made sure the monsters I picked gave good xp so that they could gain levels at a snappy pace. we also probably played from 3pm to 1am or so lol.

Did anyone else run high level campaigns in 2e ?

Or was it just me? If I had a penny for every time every youtuber, blogger, forumer said "people stopped at 7th level". lol. Personally my 4 year campaign ended when the players were around level 26 having killed Lolth, Acerak and other powerful beings. Certainly I had to get creative, many...

OSR A Historical Look at the OSR

Thats cool, makes sense, I'm not so much into the greek stuff, I need serious, studious wizards. I heard of C&C in passing, I'll check it out.

OSR A Historical Look at the OSR

I mean I see "OSE stuff" on that website, but not the boxed set or the all encompasing rules tomb. Its actually a little confusing figuring out what you want, some many books, so many versions (I think).

OSR A Historical Look at the OSR

I have one question related to this. Why retro-clone? I mean I can guess why, it allows the old modules to be easily used, it leverages the brand, keeps the same monsters etc. But the main issue is that everyone is still tied to the same license, and that license limits the possibilities of...

OSR A Historical Look at the OSR

Its pretty cool, I do like the OSE. Bummer the only copy of the game is on ebay at $240. I bought the pdf but I'm more of a book person. So thousands of modules but nobody is publishing more of the rule books, we have to wait for each kickstarter. I guess I can just buy an extra 100 copies...

    WotC Can we salvage Toril?

It was removed in 4e apparently, returned in 5e, but yeah I agree will be ignored forever, which probably that answers the question, Toril is unsalvageable.

    WotC Can we salvage Toril?

Because, as an example, Maztica is just a copy/paste of Central America history, since it was written by former history teachers, and because of that a) it completely breaks immersion b) that younger generation will never accept it c) because of b WOTC will never develop it further.

D&D 5E (2014) Unofficial Translations of 5e Basic Rules in other languages?

I found a Portuguese translation. Has anyone else found translations of the 5e basic rules in other languages e.g Russian, Japanese. I think it would have be done by a D&D fan, regular translators just aren't going to understand the rules I think without massive expense. thanks!

    WotC Can we salvage Toril?

Putting China into the realms is what creates all the problem. idk how you make a continent in the F.Realms that chinese people would like to play in. I don't think they are able to play D&D in china because their internet is restricted, they can't get to dnd.wizards.com but IF they did it...
