D&D 5E (2014) Mike Mearls interview - states that they may be getting off of the 2 AP/year train.

Next week, I'll be posting a "preview edition" of the relaunch for my Realmspace Traveler's Guide on DMsGuild. It's a project I started last year before I got a hang of formatting, and I'm rewriting and changing a lot of what I'd originally written/planned. I took a long break to work on other...

    D&D 5E (2014) Multi-Multi-classing

Where multi classed characters lack in power, they can compensate in their increased versatility. Trying to create synergies that work can be difficult for a lot of possible combinations. Feats are one possible solution to making unusual combos viable. If you enjoy playing around with...

    D&D 5E (2014) DM Guild Recommendations

On my DMsGuild channel, the item I recommend most for being useful for almost every table is the Magic Spell Cheat Sheets, a suite of tools for facilitating learning and referencing magic spells. It includes magic spell lists, effects charts, and 1-sentence summaries of all spells in the...

    D&D 5E (2014) [DMsGuild] The Swordmage (5th Edition Class)

Presenting the Swordmage (5e Class) - now available on Dungeon Masters Guild. [PWYW - you can donate to support the author or download freely] The swordmage is a warrior that blends magic spells with martial technique in battle. Unlike those who merely dabble in either field to complement...

    Stock art starship deck plans?

You can try making your own original deck plans by analyzing the basic components of existing plans then using an art program to make something that at least looks like it was meant to draw with a marker on a grid mat. There are also free online photoshop programs like SumoPaint if your wallet...

    D&D 5E (2014) Should I Keep My Volo's Guide

An upside down printing could be considered a collector's item, if there haven't been many of them. If it is actually rare, maybe you could sell it on E-Bay and score $$$.

    D&D 5E (2014) REALMSPACE Preview Art

Sharing some preview art from the Realmspace Traveler's Guide relaunch/revision that I'm working on atm for DMsGuild (old files are still on my channel). If anyone's wondering, Realmspace is basically the Spelljammer-style space opera expansion of Forgotten Realms. Crystal spheres...

D&D 5E (2014) The Dangers of Overreliance on Leomund's Tiny Hut (3rd Level Spell)

There's also no indication that the writers didn't intend the spell to have a weakness to burrowing creatures. It wouldn't be the first time that a spell has been changed across editions, to buff or to nerf. The current Sage Advice first rules no floor, but then ruled floor, but based the...

What Are These Four Unnamed D&D Products?

With today's release of another round of UA Mystic, more weight has just been added to my suspicion of October possibly being a Psionics supplement.

D&D 5E (2014) The Dangers of Overreliance on Leomund's Tiny Hut (3rd Level Spell)

I'll have to disagree on that. The system itself is actually adaptable to many different styles of play. The style of published adventures or what the DM individually prepares for the table however may be focused in one direction or another.

What Are These Four Unnamed D&D Products?

The $24.95 October release could be a Psionics supplement. Thinner in page count than an all-round supplement, setting book, or a big adventure book, but big enough to be considered a major update.

D&D 5E (2014) The Dangers of Overreliance on Leomund's Tiny Hut (3rd Level Spell)

Roleplaying can get really fun when there's no escape from issues of personal hygiene and modesty. B-) Wizard: "And behold, Leomund's Tiny Hut!" Rogue: "It's a dome." Wizard: "Yes it is. A safe dome for us to sleep in tonight. Now relax and rest." Rogue: "Where's the toilet?" Wizard...

D&D 5E (2014) The Dangers of Overreliance on Leomund's Tiny Hut (3rd Level Spell)

Hemisphere is defined as half of a sphere. Half of a hollow sphere however has no floor. A dome doesn't necessarily have a floor. The spell specifically states that it forms around and above, but does not state that it forms below. "Around" could also be interpreted as below. RAW, no floor...

D&D 5E (2014) The Dangers of Overreliance on Leomund's Tiny Hut (3rd Level Spell)

Planar travel is something that I've been thinking about. Magical effects can't extend through or pass through the dome, but a magical effect created inside the dome could include some kind of movement across planes. A Ghost for example might be able to go into the ethereal plane and...
