I don't like the idea of a video game, if only because the customization potential obviously would plummet. Every Barbarian would look rather similar to each other, every Elf would have a finite number of ways to tweak themselves, etc etc etc. It's why I didn't like the D&D MMO, actually. But...

I respect the 'abstract' argument in most other places. But I refuse to let someone stake a breastplate-wearing vampire just because the player can hit the vampire's AC. Unless this is a tree-Ent, putting his entire arm through the vampire's entire chest or something extreme like that.

You know, you would think that more vampires would wear armor. Or at least breastplates. Have the BBEG be a Vampire Paladin or something, and rule that they can't get to his heart for as long as he's wearing his armor.

There's actually a whole board dedicated to homebrews and conversions, and a sub board inside that board dedicated to monster conversions. Try searching in there, someone has to have made something mouse-like.
