Today, I had a big creative drive: I've created a small "parallel universes" setting on my blog. System agnostic, up to now.
19 alternate realities placed on a D20. Hope you like it ! [Setting] Europol X - Setting overview
You're writing an awesome rpg or homebrew ? You want to layout it nicely but have no clue how? I made a short tutorial on how to use GMBinder to create your own good looking booklets https://osrdread.blogspot.com/2020/11/gms-binder-01-tutorial-for-new-brewers.html
(really for beginners)
The fifth instalment in my "real places in RPG"-post series is finally there.
This time we jump into the cold waters of scotland and marine folklore

Small pause in the "real places in RPG":
For an upcoming OSR-styled Sci-Fi Horror game, I've created some art.
And i wanted to share it with you all !

I have written 2 new blog posts in the series "Real places in RPG"
Here, I present an unreachable fort in the mountains of India and speak about fortifications and magic
[OSR] Real places to use in RPG [3]: Harihar Fort
This wonderfull waterfall in the state of new york is the perfect excuse...
What do you mean by CO (carbone monoxyde?)
If you have cool pictures, post them here, maybe i'll integrate them in my musings ;)
Anyway, thanks for your interest @Zardnaar
I continue presenting Real Places and twist what these would mean in a fantasy RPG contest. This architectural piece brought me to muse about fire-fighting in a fantasy setting (and why fire-spells, i.e. fireballs need to be banned out of cities)...
I recently joined a facebook group named “RPG Worldbuilders Visual Inspiration and Prompts”. What I’ve seen there triggered again my lust for writing.
So I started a new series of posts, based on real places in our world, and what would they mean in an OSR dungeonverse...
Today, i'll play something unique for you all: a re-play.
I've botched the recordings of my 3 first sessions, so i'll play them again, so that people that missed the live Ironsworn stageplays may understand in the future, what i'm theatrically playing 😇
Dear gamers, I decided to go with the flow of the pandemy and organise an online show, directly from my home office...
It's an experimental format:
I'll be playing solo, i'll be playing a roleplaying-game called Ironsworn (it involves dice, yes), but it will be improv' since i'll be playing...
I don't listen to a lot of actual play podcasts, but i really loved what happend when the "terrible warriors" tried out the Noirlandia game
https://podtail.com/no/podcast/terrible-warriors/noirlandia-smoke-mirrors-part-1/
Happy listening !
I want to try out "Gold=XP" in a D&D 5E campaign - with an E9 level cap. These are my ramblings on the subject :-)
https://osrdread.blogspot.com/2019/11/osr-gold-as-xp-12-theory.html
I've started reviewing the modules from adventure I.
so far i've done:

I actually intend to use the full Rage of CRs also with my E9 campaign...
Some unique monster will stay out of reach of a party of adventurers, sure, but that's why you should recruit henchmen, or better yet, build up fiefdoms and raise armies...
As i said on my blog (DREAD's rules: Level Cap at lvl 8):
My practical observation is that at higher levels (10+), the outcome of encounters seems to become much more random, since saves then become so much more important and decisive. If you fail your first save in the first round of combat...
On my side I want to test two things in my new campaign:
Gold-expense as XP
Alchemy as a way to circumvent the level cap I've placed on the campaign (questing for ingredients, like described here: THERE IS NO XP! TAKE MONSTER DRUGS INSTEAD!)
And then I had to think about this level cap. I...
