D&D 4E Would you buy 4E if it were not open/had no licenses for 3rd party companies?

I would purchase 4E even if it were completely closed... but I wouldn't like it :\

    Tattoo Help

Ah, see, you and I are kindred hearts when it comes to it. I had simply thought that it was the translation which changed the "i" to a "j", whereas that's just some Anglicization of the letter/word. As with you, I'd much rather have correct, regional pronunciations be the standard world-wide -...

True, but translation-wise, is it not an 'j'?

Looks awesome man, I'm happy you liked my idea enough to get it permanently inscribed upon your flesh :D Personally, I think having it on the arm would make the most sense. Mankind has generally meted out its will with its hands (that's why people make such a fuss about opposable thumbs, lol)...

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE KIDS WHO WERE BORN IN THE 1940's, 50's, 60's and 70's !!

No, we actually don't need those things - we being here today with our ancestors obviously not having access to them means that humans don't need those things. They simply mean that life is that much easier to live in today's world. [/tangent]

alea jacta est - The die has been cast. A phrase made famous by Julius Caesar (who quoted it off the Roman historian Suetonius), it represents the point of no return; once you case down the dice, you have to take what comes. It's kinda like luck - you have to take it as it comes (and goes)...

That is one UGLY skill list. Me = not impressed, regardless of whichever other sills are added/may not be represented.

Brainstorming: Need a big nasty for "Bad Moon Waning"

There's also Deepspawn from Forgotten Realms (one's on the cover of Races of Faerun) which spit out random creatures, and is a nasty mother from what I remember. It's in Monsters of Faerun and the CR is pretty high, too. cheers, --N

    Extreme slowdowns?

Yeah, I can say the same - school, friends and my house are all super slow when trying to access ENW, at all times of the day and night over here.

    A Gary Gygax Facebook Group

Good day my fellow ENnies :) Yesterday, I created a Facebook group named 'A Tribute to Gary Gygax' in response to the passing of DM Prime. If you are a user of Facebook, please feel more than free to join and share your stories about Gary and/or your D&D experiences - myself and Raven Crowking...

Gary Gygax has passed. RIP beloved father of RPG's. (merged)

Words almost fail me.... Thanks to Mr. Gygax, I had a stable pillar of refuge throughout a tempestuous period of my life, and when all and everyone had left me, I still had my books and an imagination brought to fruit by a fantastic game. Gary, I have never met you sir, but you and I are good...

    D&D 4E 5th edition - 2015? Or is 4ed the last?

Fair enough, although I was expecting 4e more towards 2010 as well. It seems playtesting was rushed for it, and another year under-wraps and another year of play-testing might've worked out the kinks in the system which we'll all find soon enough. My above statement just reflects the way most...

    D&D 4E 5th edition - 2015? Or is 4ed the last?

Actually, economics might mean that books, which you pay a mid-priced one-time fee for, might see a resurgence, in which case we might very well see a 5e, but perhaps more towards 2020 than earlier. Only time will tell. Addendum: I say this because the current situation of fast-food, cheap...
