    [Gleemax]Another thing not to like.

I think it's a very good way to handle it. It's like what PC game developers do with the Mod community.

Mongoose's New IP: Traveller is BACK

I actually like learning new systems. And playing them too. It just seems wrong to me to play pretty much anything other than D&D as D20. So I'm glad to see this. I've been wanting to play Traveler for some time now.

I think we need a new DM

Why is he railroading? Have you fellows missed something he thought was obvious before, and now he feels like you need pointers to find that hook? Or have you done a 180 on him, and decided you felt like doing something contrary to what you had previously said you did, ruining the adventure he...

Your Experiences with Non Core Characters

Warmage - Hugely powerful boom spells. I don't like it being CHA based, but that's just an opinion. What it lacks in versatility it regains in the ability to wear armor and fight ok. But at the same time most of the spells are meant as artillery - They will damage your fellows if in radius...

    Eberron - Age of Demons

So in addition to Villians of Eberron, there needs to be a Planes of Eberron. With how creepy/awesome Mr. Baker made Thelanis sound in his books, Planes of Eberron would be a book I'd buy in a second if it was half as good.

    Eberron - Age of Demons

That's the great thing about Khyber, you could put anything in there. You could have the Abyss, the nine layers of hell, and the blood war somewhere (Well, maybe not the blood war.) But Khyber is also very intimidating at the same time due to the lack of information on it.

How much camp do you like in your games?

The less time we spend of camping encounters, the better.

How much time do you spend actually playing?

I'd say we are more on a 3/4 ratio for time. the 1/4th being time "wasted" non gaming.

    Smaller or bigger dungeons?

I'd love to do a sprawling, mega dungeon where each layer gets tougher and tougher... But they just don't make any damn sense usually. So every time I try to design one, it ends up being a small one.

    Eberron - Age of Demons

Here is a bit written by Mr. Baker in his Eberron Expanded column "According to Lords of Madness, the civilization of the aboleths is the most ancient in existence. The memories of these creatures stretch back to a time before time, and they can recall ancient evils that have long since faded...

    Eberron - Age of Demons

So I can give Demogorgon tiger fur then, and I have a Raja. Problem solved! :D

    Eberron - Age of Demons

So you've have this age of demons in Eberron. Dragons saved the day, imprisoned a lot of the demons/fiends/raja's in the ground. Gotcha, cool. My question is....Other than Rakshaka, who were the demons? Demons from the MM? Tan'arri and whatnot? I see the demons in the MM, and they don't do it...

    New D&D Spinner Rack

There have been one of those at various bookmarks (military book stores on US posts) for a long time now. Sadly, it'd be impossible to actually start a group with the crap they put on it. Never have I seen all core 3. But this is because of AAFES, not WOTC's programs.

    Victory *and* death

No, I wouldn't. It'd have to be a party full of Marv's for it to work, I think.

    Keith Baker on Eberron's Theme

Yeah, that Europe bit about the size of Khoirivare seems like a pretty big deal. Really makes me wonder about the QC process involved. Anyway, I like it being big. I just add more people and make the towns bigger. I tend to pulp it more than I noir it. Noir is a pretty foreign thing for most...

Gaming in the Military - Your Experiences?

I'm in the Army right now, and I'm DMing a group of around 7 players. I usually get four at a table on a good week though. Add in the flakiness that gamers already have, and compound that by "duty" excuses, and you find yourself working harder as a DM to get all of the knuckleheads in line to...

What kind of player are you

I don't really know what kind of player I am. I haven't played since Origins 2003. But I'd probably be a planner type. One of my favorite memories would be at a con Shadowrun game where we had to assassinate some dude. I exhausted every possible resource the DM had made available. The guy died...

Would you play your game here?

Well, the place would have to draw DM's more than players. If a DM decides he HAS to play here, that has a lot more weight than if a player doesn't. It depends. A computer to run D&D prorgams would be pretty cheap, but a large touch screen would sure as hell not be. A projector can be cheap...

What are the characteristics of an "olde school game"?

Reading this reminds me I have been too easy on my players. I've been too easy due to the limited pool of players, and some of those players are a bit...emotional. But to hell with that. There have always been flake characters. If they cannot handle it, they die. There shall be death!

Eberron - How do you flavor...

Dragonmarked houses? In my campaign, all of the houses know their place and stay away from encroaching upon another houses niche (Thurrani aside.) That doesn't stop some scion from going private and trying to harm his house as much as he can, business wise. Lords of Dust? Doesn't that sound...
