Don't worry about connecting your background to Greyhawk too much. Just make a normal background for the type of character you want. If you want to be a traveller, you could be from the City of Sasserine, if you want a specific place.

Ok so far so good with characters done so far. A few things for you though: debarcher You have 3 unused skill Points, remember a Human gets 4 extra skill points at 1st level, not just 1. That is at all other levels that you get 1 extra level. Catavarie Half Elves don't get extra skill points...

Don't forget, that there is no temple or shrine to Heronious in the region. So it may not be possible for a local to be one of that diety. Maybe, you lived in Cauldron when you were young, your family moved away, you then became a Cleric of Heronious, and then came back to your home.
