    Pearl of Power?

Aint that the truth. I've seen sorcerors cast 20+ in day without blinking, while hasted of course. So thats 10d4+10 every round until whatever they are fighting dies. Don't forget acid arrow. First round haste, acid arrow-2d4. 2nd round acid arrow, acid arrow, 6d4. 3rd round AA,AA 10d4. Next...

    Mega mighty comp bows

I've always allowed for +5 MCLBs. They are usually specially made with unique components that aren't easy to get (dragon bone, etc), but it doesn't seem that far fetched that they could exist. Once you get really high in strength, like +7 and beyond you might need some magic, but the spell...

    Otto's Irresistable Dance

Lords of Darkness. I told my PCs about it and we all agreed it was the worst possible way to die.

Turned to stone and back again...

You could always raise them once they were flesh too. Also spells like limited wish shouldbe able to restore the statue to perfect condition without any problem, and if prismatic sprays are flying its not out of your level range. Stone shape might work fairly well, in that you could get rid of...

    Choatic Neutral or Choatic Evil?

He sounds like NE. Hes always doing what benefits himself the most, without regards to others. LE usually has some sort of honor or honesty to it, it doesn't sound like he has any and CE is less likely to plan things out so well, so hes most likely NE.

    Is Hide Spell overpowered?

This is the dumbest feat I've ever seen. You can't take away a save. And if you could it sure as hell should be more than +2 levels. Try +4 at least. For a character with good saves the result would be equal to having a twinned spell thrown at them.

    Of Dragons and Tooth Picks

The way I've always done it is with what the polymorphed character says and acts. Imagine the PCs find this unarmed, unarmored elf that implies that is something much more terrible than it appears. It references things (like the taste of elven flesh, screams of deer when you slowly dismember...

    Dragons and Hover

Same as all the rest of it claws (-5 from its bite). And I have yet to see a dragon without Multiattack, so its probably -2.

Full Round Action for Low Level Fighter Types

There not many options unless you took a crap feat like Dirty Fighting or something else that loses its charm at level 6. Generally I move if I drop em, but not much else. The only full round attack option at that level I ever see is charge.

    Choatic Neutral or Choatic Evil?

Yeah thats pretty much CE. Now if he had sacrificed someone he could rationalize as deserving it, its still an evil act, probably not enough to make him evil though. Honestly it really matters more how he handles everything else. Is he a normally nice guy other than this incident? Is he...

    Are Red Shirts given experience?

I use this all the time. The PCs are helping some village with some problem, then somenoe asks if any of the villagers can help out. At that point someone else in the party says something along the lines of, "And let them take our experience? Screw that we can handle it." Apparently selfless...

AoOs for creatures w/ multiple appendeges

The only exception to this rule that I know of is the hydra, which has the confusing sentence along the lines of "because of their Combat Reflexes hydras can use all their heads in AoOs." Its a hydra ability, not a CR ability.

making the most of some poor stats

I like him. Theres a lot of roleplaying opertunities for a low Wisdom rogue. Like all those situations in movies where the thief-type steals the gem from the ancient altar of evil without thinking there might be a bad side effect. If your DM and players are cool with it, you can do some good...

    Proctection from Evil vs. Poison?

Hows this for a rule? If an attack comes from a evil being, be that attack a weapon (natural or otherwise), spell, poison, or what have you, the bonuses apply. There must be a direct connection between the attacker and the defender. So summoned monsters would not work (since they are their...

    Core Setting? Why no Greyhawk?

Cause Greyhawk didn't sell all that well? All the D&D history and books tend to be written in the Realms, and have been since Gygax left TSR. Maybe they'll get around to Greyhawk as a whole world, but they are basically leaving it open as the generic D&D world as far as I can tell. Besides...

    Need DM opinions

How about the ogre breaks the stupid stick in half and doesn't take any extra damage since it already went through him? I agree the weapon doesn't fit the rules well. Well if your in some sort of bizarre Moby Dick campaign I guess its great, but for most of us who don't hang out with Capt. Ahab...

    DR stacking

Yep, though I doubt you'd break your campaign by letting a bizarre multiclass get an extra point of DR.

    My Opinions on d20

Hero system, where the average attack takes 5 minutes. "Ok I roll 10 dice to attack and I hit. Ok now I roll 15d6 and count them all up, then I count the 6's and the non-1s. Now I get my calculator out and save the numbers, subtract from the guys defenses, and his current stun... ok. Your...

    Proctection from Evil vs. Poison?

Yeah a Balor's sword doesn't have an alignment either, but you get the bonus to your AC anyway. This line of thinking makes any of the alignment based spells near worthless. The only question is the alignment of the attack's originator. Now if he animates the poison sword and it attacks you...

    Casting spells across ethereal plane

Re: only force and gaze spell????? Spectres are incorporeal not ethereal. But there would still be a 50% miss chance from a spell with a corporeal source.
