Assault on Dragonspear (5e PBP) OOC (Full)

@Kobold Stew @Neurotic @MetaVoid @VLAD the Destroyer @Leatherhead I kind of posted the same stuff IC: Option: 1. Head south a bit, go off the road, camp and short rest. Once we have a base, we can scout a bit...but it will be dark. What do you think??? I have Arcane Eye but it's not useful...

eBook Prices - Is it just me…

eBook Prices - Is it just me…

You can get e-books through your local library. My daughter does all her reading on an e-reader and doesn't pay for them, she just 'borrows' them from the library. The down side is the time-limit to read it and the wait-list. Sometimes years for some books.

How long before you tire of a thread here?

I stay engaged if: the topic is educating me on something I’m interested in. So, sparring over a specific rulesy thing can be good if the debate is showing two sides and constantly bring in new evidence to show specific points of view. someone asks for a creative outlook on a problem and the...

D&D 5E (2024) What medievalesque skill name do you prefer, for machinery, architecture, math, physics?

There are so many branches of engineering and it covers math and physics and chemistry and uses many branches of science. I’d originally chosen mechanics until I saw engineering. Engineering also covers mechanics.

Do Shorter Lists Make Players/GMs More Creative?

Double post: creative and new spells in D&D I find most invented spells in D&D, because the rules for creating spells are not well defined, is just a venue for power creep.

Do Shorter Lists Make Players/GMs More Creative?

I’m fine with short lists as samples but having a good foundation on how to create your own is necessary. A point system for powers (or a gp cost system) for making magic items would work. Honestly, my favorite spell system was Dresden Files. Spells were based on the Power of the spell which...

Pirate Borg: Buried in the Bahamas

Desiree saunters up to the old woman, “Hey, there ma’am. What if we helped you with your fishin’?” He shows her his impressive harpoon. Did he just see her blush?? “We lost a few things down in the bay here and wanna recover’em. But we’d be happy to skewer a few sharks or fish for yeh while...
