This is pretty much what the main T20 book was intended to do. It is VERY light on campaign setting and includes pretty much everything you need to run most any type of science-fiction campaign using the d20 rules. d20 Future

The design sequences are not OGL, but the final results are. Much like D&D characters, you can use a created character in other works, you just cannot describe how to create them.

The races used in the main book represent the most common Traveller major races and the races native to the first campaign setting that will be released in Jan. Some of the other races will get treatments in forthcoming material, and a specific 'alien races' book is likely.

I can sympathize with that! :D Well unfortunately we had planned on a bit more for psionics in the main book, but with everything else we had to cram in it, psionics did get shorted a bit. It is a subject that is quite likely to get a supplement of its own though.

I think crossing Dragonstar and T20 is about as natural as crossing Star Wars or Spycraft with it. One of the great things about them all being d20. Not my personal cup of tea (well a Spycraft cross might be cool), but I will certainly not discourage those who want to go that route!

It did and still does. But it is now available for d20. about as many as any other version of Traveller... :rolleyes:

There were a couple of factors that caused MM's Traveller to cease publication. The owner of Imperium Games lost a ton of money in the Asian stock market, and eventually the license was pulled because IG wasn't living up to the quality demanded of the license and the fact they weren't putting...

Alternity? It did quite well in the marketplace from my understanding. I think the reason you won't see any science-fiction from WotC is because of the Star Wars license. I'd bet that the SW license includes a stipulation barring WotC from producing any other science-fiction based setting. As...

On preorders: Unfortunately even though our stocks were shipped out at the same time as those to the distributors, ours are not scheduled to arrive until Monday. As soon as we get them in we will begin processing the preorders get em our the door.

Er, not quite. No edition of Traveller has come close to the numbers that Classic Traveller sold during its run, but none have 'tanked' as you put it. Not unless selling a few tens of thousands of copies qualifies. If that is the definition of 'tanking', I hope we do! As far as hedging our bets...

Heh, was just going over it today and T20 will actually be 464 pages for $44.95. The index, glossary, forms, etc. kicked it over the previously expected 448 pages once we got it layed out. (Yes we are at the FINAL stages, and expect it to go to the printer on Friday!)

Rules-wise not really, One is d20 based the other is GURPS. Not currently, though we are not opposed to the idea. But it would have to be ok'd by SJG. Yes and no. Both are built on the original Traveller history, but GURPS Traveller follows an alternate timeline in which Emperor Strephon was...

You and me both! :D Seriously though, as Psion mentioned T20 is pretty much done, we're just trying to clean up these two sections a bit. But for now, off to GenCon!!!!! Hope to see some of you there (we're in booth #841 btw)
