I started to play through the Shackled City AP with a gaming group and found that there was way too much combat in the dungeons and my group lost interest when it became a crawl. It was well-made besides that.

The comment about the art just shows that there are some people who refuse to let themselves get enjoyment out of anything. They have to nitpick it to the point of them hating it.

So all you people petitioning this would rather the awesome cover art be COVERED UP (or swallowed up) by the current Eberron cover setup? I'd rather see more of the image of the actual cover image. I prefer the new.

OK, my only thoughts on the matter are if the PCs normally do raise dead or resurrection on other PCs, then why aren't they doing it for an NPCs that was travelling with the group and actively adventuring and risking their life alongside the other party members. This would be some of the worst...

I agree that this book is very good. One thing I thought was cool about it besides touching on various DragonMech elements was how plentiful the art was. There's 36 illustrations for only 72 pages. That's a great ratio.

I've also done a bunch for Silven Crossroads and some for D20 Filtered. I'll talk with you (& Crothian) via e-mail and find out what it's all about. I don't wanna promise something that I can't keep.

Excellent review. I'll have to save up for this one as I am eager for WotC releases that are more focused on the story and setting than on the game mechanics (crunch).
