What is the best game to capture that old 1E AD&D feel? - Please state why.

The solution to this is to get the store's contact info to Steve from TLG. He'll be happy to call them and set the record straight. Most stores will stock anything if enough people start asking for it. :)

"Try Castles & Crusades", they say. But no one's playing it!

Akrasia, the contention between disparate playing styles, games, systems, ect that I have witnessed for the past 4 years bewilders the life out of me. ;) All the hystrionics over a hobby, honestly. Wont catch me at it. Play what one enjoys I say. But back to the original topic of the...

The Lejendary books should have about a half a dozen top artists...

    TSR Q&A with Gary Gygax

Hum. The Mountebank actually sounds a great deal like the thief/ magic-user I was playing in Rob's game at LGGC. Or at least how I like to play one. Might just have to cook up a C&C version myself. ^_^`

You forgot the bit about caltrop dice. Even the dice have blunted edges now. Nerf dice!

    TSR Q&A with Gary Gygax

Welp. Going by the above definition of the mountebank, one could just use a C&C thief character with a charisma prime and role play it a little bit. And while the CZ skill bundles confer a few similar class abilties for NPC's , plus a broad range of other ability, to a character, one does need...
