Dragonshards, Steal this Hook, Creature Competition, the monster redesign series, the recent series with the Swiftblade PrC, the Mind's Eye, the character class series (much better than the class acts guides IMO)...these are all very enjoyable. And they were FREE. We'll see what we get when...

Or the beginning of a new series of articles on WotC's site called "The Ecology of..." There is no reason why WotC can't publish all of the articles online now.

That's another reason for WotC to get rid of the magazine. It hurts the competition that needs it for advertising.

So will WotC take all of these thousands of submissions that Paizo is too busy to handle and possibly use them? Will articles like Core Beliefs, Ecologies, Class Acts, etc now be available at WotC's site after September? We already have Sage Advice (daily too, very nice) and Dragonshards...

Most of the material that's online is worth paying for. I would have bought Keith Baker's Dragonshards. I read the site every day even though it's free. So paying $10 a month is no big loss to me. Especially now that I'm not paying a yearly subscription to Dragon and Dungeon anymore.

They do have until September. It's not like we're "starving". Who knows what they will launch by then. It could rock. Or not. It's too early to tell. We're the internet guys who know about this stuff. Most of the players I know won't even know about this for months, and many probably...

How do we know they were successful? How do we know that they weren't cutting in on WotC's profit? Perhaps their research indicated that people weren't buying WotC material because they were getting everything they needed from Dungeon and the core books? Maybe the Adventure Paths were too...

So what, we're just getting adventures now from Paizo? "Pathfinder" is more expensive than both Dungeon and Dragon combined. Goodman Games has a better, cheaper selection of generic d20 material, IMO. I definately won't be getting a subscription, but I may pick it up when it's dirt cheap at...
