[OT-research] have you ever been cow tipping?

What die-Kluge said - except that a couple of tons sounds a bit heavy for cows.

    Fiendish Elf Female [comments please]

First and Foremost - The Improvement is definately there!!!!! and it is much better than I can do..... That being said, now for the critisim (all of it constructive) On all of forms but the last two - the chin was WAY to large. On the last picture, the space between the nose and the mouth was...

    A Detailed City?

It is interesting to see the debats surrounding the three main cities: Freeport Bluffside Geneveue I have both Bluffside and Geneveue. I looked at Freeport - but as someone said it is very wild-westish and believe that major cities have more stability than that. I do not like the concept of...

Would you pay for cool features?

Features - could not care less about them (except the 200 user limit - that blows :) - However, as others have said, this site to me is easily worth more than the price of a single d20 puchase per year - so I will gladly support.

    Delaying taking a feat

Is it possible to delay the taking of a feat until a later level? Reading through the rules does not have anything that prohibits this.....then again, it does not have anything that allows it either? Specifically, I have a character that is a Mnk1/Drd2 and am interested in taking Craft...

    How can nations afford armies?

SHARK, Really, the Roman Empire had over 100 million? I had thought that Europe did not get over that hump until the 1300's - but this is a little murky in the brain so sure (in the absense of contradictory evidence - you win :) ) Further, I do not discount anything that the ancients did...

    Ocean Decay?

Sort of hard to answer........ Couple of questions for you. 1) What type of water is the dead whale in? Cold, Warm? What is the climate of the harbor (Carribean, Easern Sea Board?) 2) How big was the harbor? fundamentally what happens with any type of dying organics in water is that they...

    How can nations afford armies?

SHARK, Inflation is still going to be a problem since you are in effect creating economic value from thin air - there is no goods and services backinig up this new found wealth - Just ask the Spanish. I was also going to comment on your armies composition that you described a couple of posts...

[WAY - OT] Setting up a Home Gym

All, Thanks for the advice - I had actually not considered thrift stores or the paper..... so I will most definately do that (and you have convinced me that my budget can be much lower...... which means I can pick up more d20 stuff :) ) Actually, I am really taking the Doctor's admonishment...

[WAY - OT] Setting up a Home Gym

Well, I do have to defend myself somewhat here........:) I am not terribly overwieght (6 ft - 180 lbs) - just don't do enough excercise - and don't get me wrong - if I can spend less, I will spend less. That being said, the reason that I am looking at a home gym (and all of the suggestions...

DM Banned Barbarians.. so, Ranger or Fighter?

I would suggest Ranger - due to the wider variety of skill points and skills - but as Teflon mentioned, dual wielding and bonus are not really that usefull to you. Perhaps you could pursuade the DM to drop the virtual feats for more skill points per level?

[WAY - OT] Setting up a Home Gym

Well, it finally happened, the doctor has informed me that my cholesteral is to high (229) and I think that this is the last straw to really get back in shape after a sedentary life of playing CRPG and D&D (see I worked it in) Anyway, I am curious on anyne else's experience and advice setting...

    Steampunk?? HELP!!!

Also consider looking at the PC Game Arcanum for how Magic and Technology mix..... (or do not as the case may be) Fundamentally SteamPunk is applying the dysotopian future of Cyberpunk in a Victorian setting - think Industrial Revolution gone awry. Additionally, there is a great (YMMV) GURPS...

[OT-Football] Why doesn't chaos like this ever happen in American sports!

Actually, the NHL's stadiums are "fuller" than what may appear. From what I understand, a great number of the Ice Level seats are bought by companies via Season Tickets to give to clients, employees etc. However, a large percentage of these, though bought are not actually occupied, so the team...

Does it makes sense for Wotc to produce a generic d20 Players Handbook?

With the recent de-fantisification (or at least options other than fantasy ) for d20 (CoC, Spycraft, d20 Modern) I was thinking of the value of WotC producing a Generic d20 Players Handbook and d20 DM/GM guide. After all, if playing CoC (and potentially only CoC/other modern games) how...

I didn't like Bluffside. But I didn't read it, either!

No Problem:) This is not to say that I ignore word of mouth - in fact, I will likely have to go back and give Freeport and Bluffside a more complete looksie....... In fact, I would have to say with the exception of the WotC and Fiery Dragon stuff, most of what I end up picking up is die to...

I didn't like Bluffside. But I didn't read it, either!

I have to come to Kaptains defense His method of evaluating products is not far different from mine: 1) Did it catch my eye when placed against all the other d20 stuff - Frankly Bluffside nor Geneveure(sp) did. Freeport however did. 2) How did they "look" in the skim test - Geneveure passed...

A kingdon without magic can survive in a war against a magical one?

Lost Soul, The argument that I am putting forth is on a macro level - How much effort and cost went into training, equiping and deploying the flying Wizard - now what could the human kingdom do with those resources? Outfit 100 longbowmen? 20 Knights?...... Regarding the Isreali situation -...

A kingdon without magic can survive in a war against a magical one?

No no no no..... To praraphrase the politicians - "its the economy stupid" :) Again, a nations ability to win a war is directly tied to its ability to fund a war. Thus, it does not matter that the elves could deploy the largest, strongest army if they end up going bankrupt within a month -...

[Purity Test] Who's the "purest" gamer here?

117 - I think that if the survey was a little more up to date I would have scored higher..... The fact that it has Victory Games and TSR is a big indicator that the survey needs some touching up.......
