@ garathanos True but in star wars IMO the melee weapons (lightsabers) were effective more for the fact that super powered jedis wielded them. Plus if energy based blaster are so inaccurate I'd see if I could stick with conventional guns which may not shot plasma or what have you but rifles...

What may be easier as well as less time consuming for the players is to either buy a pre existing castle from a destitute noble, or they find out about a great fortress that fills most of their needs it just has a nasty undead, or dragon, or undead-dragon infestation that they need to clear up...

Cool idea but any class that relies on melee attacks might have need some new powers or at least some big tweaks to use ranged weapons more effectively. I know that if I played a fighter that no matter how cool a super high tech sword is that blaster is probably more effective.

I think a question you may want to ask your players is not what they want to build but rather how they want to build it. In a world with magic sure they could hire a slew of workers, architects, masons and what not then spend decades building their dream castle. This of course would take untold...

Indeed those are both some nice interpretations of the tarrasque. Once the 3ed one got some color though I feel it looked like it had caramel drizzled all over its back... It looks like you have some good parts to make a tarrasque with. It will be cool to see what the final product is.

Cookies for frankthedm! I haven't liked the look of the tarrasque since 2nd ed. Though I guess the newer ones fit the historical description better I kinda thought they were a little funny looking, especially the 3rd ed one.
