    D&D 3.x Hide in 3.5

Re: Re: They allow that already How can you do that? It takes a full round to cast a close-range summon monster and it's a DC 0 +1 per 10 feet to hear the casting.

Fun stuff to do with illusions

Not sure about allowing an illusory blindfold. After all, they wouldn't feel anything, nor would their eyes be held shut by the "blindfold."

It still gives you +5 to hit and damage. Not really what I'd call nerfing.

Fun stuff to do with illusions

PHB P154 - "If a viewer successfully disbelieves an illusion and communicates that fact to other viewers, each such viewer gains a saving throw with a +4 bonus."

So what price are you paying for your 3.5E books?

I haven't gotten my GC yet, though, and it's been a month. I emailed Amazon and they said they haven't received a GC yet, so it's up to VW to get the ball rolling and send it to them.

You don't have 10' reach - you still have 5' reach around the back of the horse.

    Bonuses to Turning level

If the cleric is spending all that money on those turning boosters, they most certainly are skimping on other areas, such as offensive power or defense. Let him be very good in one area and give him the opportunity to use it. But not all of the campaign will be undead bashing and during those...

[3.5] Power Attack - can this possibly be right?

Bad example. That fireball applies damage to a 20-foot radius area.

    D&D 3.x Hide in 3.5

With the dumbing down of concealment, how will that affect spells that use it? For instance, Net of Shadows from FR would grant 9/10ths concealment (40% miss chance) on the target and from the target attacking 5' away. Also, depending on the thickness of the forest, you would get different...

    D&D 3.x [3.5] Errata

The spell emotion in the red dragon’s spell list in the MM is incorrect (the spell no longer exists). Rogues still have proficiency with the sap.

    D&D 3.x [3.5] Spells (New & Changes)

Andy mentioned there is a 5th level fly spell that has a longer duration. Can you post that one?

So what price are you paying for your 3.5E books?

About $12 for all three. I did the VW test drive for a $50 gift certificate at Amazon and then will be ordering the books once the GC shows.

[3.5] Power Attack - can this possibly be right?

Overloading on magic items can be easier when you make them. Since they only cost 1/2 market to make, you're doubling your wealth when you convert that cash to an item. With two expensive items, that could make you rather wealthy quickly. Add Magical Artisan to further reduce costs by 25% and...

Fun stuff to do with illusions

I would say yes, because it adds mist to the scene. Darkness removes light. I would suggest telling your allies ahead of time that the mist isn't real so they get a +4 to their will save.

    v3.5 Core Books on sale!

The nerfing comes in with how the weapon was originally used in combat. A character in my campaign just picked up an adamantine greataxe so that he will have a weapon that will work against DR even in an antimagic zone, and also it will never lose its +2 to hit and damage. Now, that's...

    v3.5 Core Books on sale!

I don't see how this can be any use to a PC. Sundering is an NPC tool, not a PC tool, if you value your enemy's wealth at all. That is a major nerf for adamantine for the players.

Other people who have the book have stated that the dodge feat has not changed.

    v3.5 Core Books on sale!

Has the concentration check for defensive casting changed at all from 3.0? I was wondering if it had a variant rule that allowed for an opposed check so that a kobold didn't threaten a wizard as much as a cloud giant did.

    Metamagic idea

I personally think that only one additional spell slot of a low level isn't enough to offset the metamagic feat in the example you list. But I appreciate your ideas :)
