I was seriously considering that, but some of the reviews for the Alternity Core Books say the scans can be pretty hard to read, so I might trawl half-price books and E-Bay for a while first.

I suspect that this will all end badly. Some cheerful adventure publisher might actually chip in here, then promptly get a face full of "your adventures suck, that's why they're selling badly" -- which might be true, but also might not be true since one primary reason d20 publishers' adventures...

Today I found the Gazetteer at Half-Price Books for... er, half-price. Nice for me -- the maps of the Northeast will work well for my, ah, home campaign. It's good to have North America as wilderness, with lots of terrain. The maps also include notes for navigable rivers, which could be handy...

I agree. Since they actually publishes a whole hardcover, and released a bunch of arcana material into the SRD -- I'd think that would have been the best option. Adventure paths give gamemasters and players a good model of what to do in a world.

That would be unfortunate. I'd enjoy seeing a d20 Modern Second Edition -- be a good test bed for, er, various possible rules changes.

I wanted to pick it up just because I could use the maps and other materials as a nice resource for my, er, own game -- the technology levels would be very close to right. But I balked at the 2 books for $30 apiece. I do want to pick it up sometime -- but maybe via PDF.

I'm using they/them/their now, but it's not like I'll stop buying your books, picket your office, or notify the language police if you use a different option. Also, I think the WotC way is kind of cute -- sort of makes me think of the character as the iconic when they're talking about a class.

I prefer in person -- but you go long enough without a game and, believe me, you'll play it by carrier pigeon if you have to.

I've been thinking of doing this as well, since Delta Green would fit so nicely. My plan was to just use SC2's stress damage as written, then assign values for different sanity losses. If you wanted to keep the long term effects it seems just porting over the Sanity rules would likely work...

Yah, that seems like a very good strategy. A hundred eyes from overly-anal gamers can catch a lot more glitches than two eyes from even the best editor.
