    Hellboy II Confirmed -- woo-hoo?

I still haven't seen the first one yet, but I really want to -- just been too busy. I'll take the responses in this post to get off my ass and... uh... get back on it in the theater.

    Hellboy II Confirmed -- woo-hoo?

Ron Perlman talked to About.com once again confirming the sequel is on. "Monday morning (April 5, 2004) I awoke to the news that 'Hellboy 2' was going to be greenlit," the actor said, "Mike Mignola has provided us with chapters and chapters of possibilities in the comic book. I'll be the first...

    WotC Setting Search

Is Darth Vader my father? :) ^^Congrats to all who have further developed their settings. I'm glad, too, to see that the ball is still rolling at WotC. For any curious, one of my tales can be found in an anthology called Kings of the Night II. The electronic edition is already available...

    WotC Setting Search

Remember that whacky setting search and the mighty thread that lasted hundreds of pages? Good times... There were so many good ideas floating around at the time, and I know that many of them were catalogued by EN World. I'm interested in any updates -- any settings developed, or morphed...

I can't find it, and I just posted in it. I usually have to follow the link to it in the 1070+ thread. Are other people having this problem?

And here it is....the WotC contest Delay.

If more than ten ten-pagers will yield the best fantasy setting, they'll ask for more. If fewer are needed there will be fewer requested. WotC appears committed to doing this right. Good job, guys.

And here it is....the WotC contest Delay.

This may turn out to be an extremely important factor: CAN MY SETTING INCORPORATE ISLANDS/FLYING ISLANDS/FLYING CASTLES? :D

And here it is....the WotC contest Delay.

This is an excellent point. In order for new material to continue to be written about your world, it needs to have room for all terrains, all fantasy races, and all campaigns. It needs to allow for jungle warfare, submarine adventures, and journeys to underground Dwarven strongholds... and be...

And here it is....the WotC contest Delay.

All of these themes are too limited to be picked. The winning settings will be ones in which any of the above themes--or any other themes--can be explored. It needs to be a place where all of us can feel at home. To be a contender for the top honor, your world needs to be a place where it...

Re: wotc contest math I'm reasonably sure you don't get paid for the ten page submissions.

WotC submission ideas you rejected rather than send.

dwarf trek I considered a world where dwarven airships are common--and can even warp dimensions--and the core heroes serve in the fleet against giants or something. This way you could do missions of individual ships, like in Star Trek. Eventually I thought it was a bit silly.

D'oh! THAT should have been submitted...

I too considered flying islands. Wierd. The proposal I did send made use of some of what I dig about flying islands in a completely different setting. Internal politics also plays a large roll... __________ "Is Darth Vader my father?"

WotC Seeking Your Setting Proposals (was "Big Wizard announcement")

let's talk characters In novels and campaign settings, do you prefer clear distinctions between the heroes and the villains or do you prefer more morally ambiguous characters with believable motivation? Both can work. When playing a game it is often preferable to know who the bad-guys are...
