Remember that whacky setting search and the mighty thread that lasted hundreds of pages? Good times... There were so many good ideas floating around at the time, and I know that many of them were catalogued by EN World. I'm interested in any updates -- any settings developed, or morphed...

If more than ten ten-pagers will yield the best fantasy setting, they'll ask for more. If fewer are needed there will be fewer requested. WotC appears committed to doing this right. Good job, guys.

dwarf trek I considered a world where dwarven airships are common--and can even warp dimensions--and the core heroes serve in the fleet against giants or something. This way you could do missions of individual ships, like in Star Trek. Eventually I thought it was a bit silly.
