My jealousy knows no bounds. I’ve just started dabbling in some hats but I don’t always feel they fit me right or I look good with them. I’m trying to just push through that because damn, I just love the way they look. They make the outfit sometimes.

I mean, it's easy to pick on one of the worst examples but does that really carry over to something like Dragonsbane. Do people really dismiss other games and put them in the "Will Not Play" bucket, or do we put them in a "Maybe someday" bucket with the full knowledge that someday may never come?

Do you find yourself doing that for every game you haven’t tried, or was FATAL the exception?

Higher is better unless you go to high in Blackjack and then you bust. Lowball is a game in Poker where you try to have the lowest hand. It's all kind of irrelevant. You either understand the math behind rolling high or not, or you don't.

Fletch was begging for a series versus a movie. Hamm was perfect for that role.

Okay, to me percentile dice / rolling low for skills makes intuitive sense - if I have a 70% chance to succeed, I have to roll 70 or lower. I can get where sometimes it can trip people up if they're coming off another game where you need to roll high to hit something, but it's not an enormous...

Is it roll under as in a percentage chance to succeed or roll low as in THAC0/descending AC?

I suspect there are a whole slew of people who bash games without having tried them, and I bet that goes back to the early days of the hobby.

In related news, I see Bob Bledsaw Jr continues to absolutely gross. Now I really wish Goodman would just pull the plug.

We dumped our Sunday Ticket subscription because of this, and decided screw it, if it’s on regular TV we’ll watch, and if it’s not, it’s not. Absolutely not going to buy all these different services just to catch a full season.

I’d drop Disney in a heartbeat but it’s bundled with our Hulu + Live TV and there doesn’t appear to be an option to remove it.

If you’re not using the service you subscribe to, then it’s just basically a waste of money. It’s very possible to get more value than what you pay if you’re using a service frequently. I’ve started getting strategic about the subscription services, cancelling several and starting to round robin...

I think this is a big reason why there’s a greater community around D&D. So many people playing the game but in different ways leading to different styles of play, but none of it created with that particular intention.

The TSR games were mine and my friends go-tos. AD&D was like 95%. But sprinkle in a little bit of Marvel Super Heroes and a dash of Star Frontiers and that’s probably the first 10 years of my gaming life.
