If I remember correctly, that race has some kind of restrictions based on proximity to stone and earth. Check up on it. I really don't think you should start taking away abilities, destroying magic items, and disallowing classes you already allowed. But if this player has "solved" your style...

So...D&D minis are fairly/very popular. How are the Star Wars minis doing? If they do well, does WotC have any plans to release a Modern line? Despite my large collection of metal, I'd love to have a random assortment of (cheap) modern minis.

I prefer humor arising from in-game situations to that arising from meta comments, but that's the only limit. Funny is funny. Once I had the whole group cracking up as they fought a bunch of angry trolls. I was role-playing the trolls with hillbilly accents; the father troll was kind of short...

There's still a whole month of sign-up...I wouldn't start worrying yet. (This from the guy whose game is full, I know, you can smack me on 4/2.) That said, maybe the unique format is making them skittish. Gamers who have never GM'd might be unwilling to try that in unfamiliar surroundings.
