    The Rouse Flash Movies....

That's not a shirt Scott is wearing, that's a Warlord Costume. In 4E all Warlords wear clothing that looks like that. In these videos, Scott is dressed up as his character, which under the 4E rules has now been made a mandatory part of playing D&D. :D

Are they replacing D&D's blacktop playground with foam?

Half-Orcs are NEVER the result of Orcs raping human women, they're always the result of Human men being seduced by frisky Orc females. Orc males have very strict taboos that prohibit having relations with "frail and weak" females from other species, but Human boys will be boys... Does that fix...

So, what will be in the SRD?

The 3.0/3.5 SRD was never meant to be a "free set of the rules" for players who didn't want to buy the books, but a lot of players used it that way. Obviously in 4E, they're going to fix that problem.

    D&D 4E 4e D&D PC games

Regarding the Temple of Elemental Evil game. There's a pretty loyal fan base that has created mods and patches to fix a lot of the problems. http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/ToEE/index_co8.php In particular, the "Circle of Eight" mod pack not only cleans up a lot of the bugs, but also adds new...

    thank you, Richard Baker

Rich Baker can sneeze with his eyes open. Rich Baker destroyed the periodic table, because he only recognizes the element of surprise. Rich Baker can kill two stones with one bird. Rich Baker counted to infinity - twice. When the Boogeyman goes to sleep every night, he checks his closet for...

You mean Gnomes don't look like THIS any more? A lot of people are going to have to redecorate their gardens. :D

    Dungeons, Dragons, and Demographics

Or, I suppose it could be that young people are more easily infatuated with products that are marketed as the "cool shiny new thing" and embrace it simply because everyone else is embracing it. (i.e. young people camping out overnight so they can be first in line to get an iPhone.) As people...

And what about the name Dungeons & Dragons

I think based on their habit of creating names by jamming two words together that Wizards should go ahead and rename the game Dungeondragon!

Instead of Warlord, how about "Brigadier General"?

Judging from blogs and playtest reports, I don't think ANYTHING is set in stone yet. Wizards could easily rename the Warlord class at any time before the books are sent to the printers. After all it's just a "find and replace" word substitution, and wouldn't affect any actual rules. With the...

    Warden

That's my suggestion for renaming the Warlord class. Warden means someone who guards and/or takes care of a place or a group of people. Isn't that sort-of what the "Warlord" class is meant to do? People seem to dislike "Warlord" because "1st level Warlord" sounds funny. It also sounds strange...

H2 name changed to 'Thunderspire Labyrinth'

I've heard a rumor that they're going to shorten it again to "Thunderspirelabyrinth" because the more words WOTC can jam together, the cooler it gets! I can hardly wait for "Expeditiontothereturnofthunderspirelabyrinth." It will be just teh coolist thing evar!

    Spell Compendium Errata Up!

Now that they're focused on 4E, maybe Wizards should put up the 3.5E errata in a Wiki and let the 3.5 players - the people who really know the game and are choosing to stick with it - make corrections as needed. I know a Wiki format would end up filled with massive errata flame wars, but at...

Finding the sweet spot in Orc and Pie

Unfortunately the 4E rules have completely eliminated pie from D&D. This adventure will have to be upgraded to Orc and Demonic Tiefling Pastry.

Dear WotC - You suck at names.

Rereading this thread, I'm not certain if you're counting me as one of the two folks or not, but to clarify my post, I wasn't claiming Old Norse was a poor source for fantasy names. I was commenting that I thought Tolkien had made good choices from among those names specifically listed in The...

Dear WotC - You suck at names.

He really didn't give himself much of a choice, it's a very strange and unpronounceable list of names. In addition to using it to name his dwarves, The Dvergatal is also where Tolkien found the name "Gandalf." If anyone's interested, here it is: Anyone feel like naming their next character...
