This seems as good a place as any to ask this question: Is there any way for ppl who'd bought the Ptolus book to get some of this stuff on pdf for free ? Its basically jsut the book in pdf form right ?

When I had posted about starting a 40 point buy Ptolus game here(http://enworld.cyberstreet.com/showthread.php?t=175971) , Shilsen's suggestion(at the end) seemed pretty reasonable. I unfortunately havent started that campaign yet to see how it works out for my group.

I'm fixing to start a Ptolus game up soon and have changed a fair bit of the skills such that a normal 3.5 d20 character sheet won't work well, and was wanting a character sheet for my players where I could edit the skill list to match my house rules(and not have to write in all the skills...

Sorry if I misspoke, my meaning was a Str of 4(I think thats right?) ( and thus, -3 penalty/bonus/proper-syntax-here) but relevant to any str less than 10. :)

If I have a str penalty(say -3 for this exercise), what parts of my attack with a normal longbow(not composite) are affected? A) Just the damage roll. B) The attack And damage roll. C) Just the attack roll. D) None of the above / Other. Ok then, same question, but with a composite longbow. ?

you use the attack modifer for whichever iterative attack you're on.

Check out Spark of Life from SC(Cleric 3 /Druid 4.), it makes undead subject to critical hits & sneak attack, and a variety of other things.

DMG pg 27 has a variant rule on dmg to specific areas. In a game I used to play in we had called shot rules that multiplied the AC depending on the size of the part that you wanted to hit. ( I think i've posted about this before.) IIRC a heat shot was like 2x AC, and other parts in between 1x...
