Of the core PH races, I have a hard time picking an elf to play (And especially the drow). But even them I'll play from time to time if I can come up with an appropriate story, its just harder to come up with a fun background for an elf.
Alright I'll give a toast to my group, Nate, B, Illia and yeah, even you Mike, the new guy, thanks for the good times.
Oh yeah, thanks for not lynching me after the TPK last Friday, and heres to a new campaign this Friday.
I have never put in a tag-along NPC cleric, shoot I almost never put in a tag-along anykind of NPC. I however am more liberal in handing out healing items.
Here's an obersvation I have noticed that when a player decides to use a cleric in a party, party-deaths and near-deaths occur more often...
Yeah, I got a kick out of the strip today, as its often the case in my games, and the games I've played.
Yeah, when I first found the Order of the Stick I did that too. And its been a topic of the gaming table way to often.
1) 1 (and she's a new gamer)
2) About 20%, but I have only a small group to choose from in my gaming history
3) They don't really
4) Some, but I was drawn in by the storytelling aspect and I'm a guy. I figure just as many were drawn in by the tactical, stratigical, and logistical aspects of the...
When I started playing it was without minis. One of the problems we had as a group is are position in relation to things, were the wall is, who stands in the fireball, and the like, often simplifieing tactics, used by the DM and player. In the closing years of 2e D&D I made the call to go to...
I don't think I can answer your poll. As I use both. In two home brews I started with a city and built everything outwards (later they were combined into the same world). However in a a couple of others I came up with a large scale, what does the world (or universe in the case of one of them)...
The only book that gets used every session is Players Handbook 3.5. And the Dungeon Master's Guide gets used almost every session. After those its the Eberron Campaign Setting followed by the Monster Manual. Other books are used on a as needed basis.
Though I have no interest in the game whatsoever, I am a fan of the NBA particulaly the Spurs (fan since 1991). But as it is the East is gonna be very tough with Shaq down in the middle, and the game should be close (I won't say good), but the West has the better clutch players Kobe, Garnett...
Its hard to tell, as all the pages are on my computer, but in a word processor format that I don't have currently installed on my machine. But I would have to say, currently around 20 pages. Actually the more I think about it might be more.
Congrats. I've never smoked, but I've seen its effects, and I tell every one about them who smokes, from pre-mature aging in appearance, to yellow stains on everything and not to mention the smell. I make sure they understand how gross it looks. And if those don't hit home, I tell them that...
Hey thats gonna cause a problem with us Lactose Intolerant people. No wait, it'll cause a problem with all the people around me, as they won't want to be in the same room as me. Alright bring on the milk, as long as someone hands me a gas mask, too :heh: :o
Core books mostly if any at all (except for the DM which is me), but its an Eberron campaign so the ECS is used sometimes, as we have a warforged in the group. Now as the DM I reserve the right to use any book in my somewhat extensive library, but I try not to bring them to the table.
Hey I did something similar, in this area. Though mine was a little different. They were actually in the building where the masquerade was taking place, munching on the party treats, when I introduced my "non-plot" related bad gal into the game. At first they thought she was part of it, but, my...
Its actually a decent module. It railroads some, but a good DM can either hide it or make it flow right. First thing (if you don't railroad) is your players are probably gonna throw a wrench in the flow of the module.
::Some Spoilers here::
In the original chase from Sharn to Trollenport, my...
I do random encounters. Or at least there's something random about it. When its a set encounter previous made up, I usually roll up randomly in front of the players when it will occur (once I never rolled a random encounter so I never used it). Sometime I decide its just time for a random...
As someone mentioned earlier, trucks = Texas. And the bigger the better. I don't think I've ever had a conversation about automobiles that didn't include pickup trucks somewhere in it, whether we were talking about the latest sportscars or the classics, somehow the conversation always veers...
I wouldn't say its a superstition but I do have ritual dice stuff:
I just like to use a different die every gaming session (like I won't use the same d20 I used the session before).
And theres a set of d6s that I love to use. Not because they're particularlly lucky but because I just like...
