I was going to suggest something like that, too: Be flexible enough to have your important points of exposition be overheard from anywhere, by nearly anyone. But if you are going to have some info come from some of the slaves, be ready to have them also overhear some false (ie. uninformed)...

I agree, both me and my players loved this adventure too. (Maybe because we had a paladin?) I don't remember the shrine particularly, but there was an evil forest in the middle of the province that totally reminded me of the forest of spiders in The Hobbit.

Were there any other modules from the "B" or "X" series that stood out for anyone? I also loved Castle Amber and looked forward to running it -- but never got the chance to. Similarly, Keep on the Borderlands was my first game run as a DM, and it never grabbed me as a great module or story...

OK, now I'm at my work computer which does run 2003, and the file is still coming up the same. Sorry, I'm at a loss, I'd love to see the product.

Hey Wednesday: What format or edition is your Excel file in? I open it and it comes up garbled.

Just from a glance, it looks like the "large white triangles" appear only on funky terrain areas. So it would probably be a quick minder to say that certain terrain rules apply to those squares.

I say, IT'S A GAME and the purpose of it is to have fun. If their concept of having fun is to attack and backstab each other at the sacrifice of a higher quest idea, dude, so be it. Let them have The Fun. Nobody is going to "grade" you on whether you DM'd right, or whether you have betrayed...

I frequently judge the writing of a show, the actions and reactions of its characters, based on what I've learned in my RPG history. The scariest part is when the TV episode mirrors what I've already done in my game! Case in point, a recent episode of FRINGE had a crazy man killing people only...

Are there any good Stargate-RPG sites out there? Or, conversely, are there a lot of Stargate players around ENWorld that chime in regularly? My group is just starting in on a SG campaign and I'd like to see if there are any gamer resources out there in networld.

I'm actually relieved to hear this. I was never happy with Wizards' treatment of it, and in fact my group has been gaming exclusively in WEG's d6 system when we do SW. If the SW-rpg is to continue, who's to say it shouldn't take a new life in an entirely new rules system?

But it's too bad they didn't give out any warning of impending doom and put on some sort of fire sale. I would have loved to pick up some of that "old" stuff for an OOB sale.
