    The Space Pirate's Code

Don't confuse "whip" (as in, an Indiana Jones bullwhip that requires several feet of radius to extend), with a more practical (and likely) cat'o'9'tails. But if that is still too old-earthy for a space crew (and I apologize for not knowing the Traveller system), then simply replace with a lash...

    Advice for free-form infiltration scenario

I was going to suggest something like that, too: Be flexible enough to have your important points of exposition be overheard from anywhere, by nearly anyone. But if you are going to have some info come from some of the slaves, be ready to have them also overhear some false (ie. uninformed)...

What are the greatest published adventures you've run?

I agree, both me and my players loved this adventure too. (Maybe because we had a paladin?) I don't remember the shrine particularly, but there was an evil forest in the middle of the province that totally reminded me of the forest of spiders in The Hobbit.

What are the greatest published adventures you've run?

Were there any other modules from the "B" or "X" series that stood out for anyone? I also loved Castle Amber and looked forward to running it -- but never got the chance to. Similarly, Keep on the Borderlands was my first game run as a DM, and it never grabbed me as a great module or story...

Star Wars Saga Space Combat Tracker

OK, now I'm at my work computer which does run 2003, and the file is still coming up the same. Sorry, I'm at a loss, I'd love to see the product.

Star Wars Saga Space Combat Tracker

Sorry, it still appears damaged. I've attached a screen snap of what it looks like. And I'm running Excel 2000. Thx. RND

Star Wars Saga Space Combat Tracker

Hey Wednesday: What format or edition is your Excel file in? I open it and it comes up garbled.

Caverns of Icewind Dale Dungeon Tiles revealed

Just from a glance, it looks like the "large white triangles" appear only on funky terrain areas. So it would probably be a quick minder to say that certain terrain rules apply to those squares.

Photos of your favorite poster maps / battle maps?

Holy Score, Batman. I assume when I go to Paizo.com to buy this set, it arrives as a PDF download? I want to jump on this ASAP.

    Allow Cannibalism vs. Heavy-handed GMing

I say, IT'S A GAME and the purpose of it is to have fun. If their concept of having fun is to attack and backstab each other at the sacrifice of a higher quest idea, dude, so be it. Let them have The Fun. Nobody is going to "grade" you on whether you DM'd right, or whether you have betrayed...

    Tv & rpgs

I frequently judge the writing of a show, the actions and reactions of its characters, based on what I've learned in my RPG history. The scariest part is when the TV episode mirrors what I've already done in my game! Case in point, a recent episode of FRINGE had a crazy man killing people only...

    Stargate RPG

Are there any good Stargate-RPG sites out there? Or, conversely, are there a lot of Stargate players around ENWorld that chime in regularly? My group is just starting in on a SG campaign and I'd like to see if there are any gamer resources out there in networld.

    Where'd the buttons go?

I noticed yesterday that the main page has a Messageboards Icon on the far right side, and yesterday it worked fine. But today it opens the Forums page in a new window? I hope that's not meant to be a permanent feature (the new-window thing, I mean)?

No more WotC Star Wars - announcement

I'm actually relieved to hear this. I was never happy with Wizards' treatment of it, and in fact my group has been gaming exclusively in WEG's d6 system when we do SW. If the SW-rpg is to continue, who's to say it shouldn't take a new life in an entirely new rules system?

    Grey Region Toronto - Dead?

But it's too bad they didn't give out any warning of impending doom and put on some sort of fire sale. I would have loved to pick up some of that "old" stuff for an OOB sale.

    Grey Region Toronto - Dead?

A shout out to other Toronto gamers -- what happened to the Grey Region Comics & Gaming shop on Yonge downtown? It's not like I didn't see it coming from way down the Parkway... but there wasn't even any notice on the front window saying that it's moved somewhere. Anybody have any inside scoop...

If you had 1 year to plan a weekend of gaming, what would you do?

We do a cottage gaming weekend (a very long weekend) every year. Every gamnig weekend we will usually mix up the campaigns to be done, a blitz on the current ongoing campaign (be it D&D, Werewolf, or Star Wars) and maybe one or two day-long adventures of one of the other non-current campaigns...
