Player 1 'grabs and pulls' player 2, then claims it's 'Forced movement, no AtOp'

I can understand a power doing this, but I disagree that this kind of 'pull' is the same as a 'Pull' (not the capital). If this is true then players and creatures can 'pull' each other all over the battlefield anytime they don't want their allies to take opportunity attacks. Also, this is *not*...

Player 1 'grabs and pulls' player 2, then claims it's 'Forced movement, no AtOp'

So in our game tonight a player was stuck in a crack in the floor. He asks a fellow PC to pull him out. Next to him was a nasty Mummy. Because the other player pulled him, he claimed there should be no Attack of Opportunity because the other player 'forced' him to move. There was no power...

Can you sleep in armour with no penalty?

After thinking about this for a few minutes, I think I've come up with a solution I like. Sleeping in anything more than Light armour means you lose one healing surge, and it is cumulative for each day. If you sleep without the plate, you regain one healing surge each day until you recover back...

Can you sleep in armour with no penalty?

This is a great response and answers all my questions. I also found that in the PHB under extended rest, it says specifically that you don't actually have to 'sleep' to gain the benefits of the extended rest, and it seems fairly obvious that it was not referring to Eladrin trances etc. By the...

Can you sleep in armour with no penalty?

As the subject, this question came up in our last session, and as 3.5 has an annoying tendency to tamper with my rules memory bank, I couldn't find the reference though I know it existed in 3.5 for sure. In 4th Ed are you now able to sleep in your full plate without consequence / penalties?

Is the Executioner underpowered, not a striker or both? (or am I missing something?)

Some interesting comments here. A lot to digest but I'm re-reading this Executioner as it seems a lot more interesting than I thought. One thing I did notice though is that in the class description is says you get proficiency with light shields, and even tells you 'buy a light shield' as part...

Is the Executioner underpowered, not a striker or both? (or am I missing something?)

I knew there was something! Thanks for that. I guess having another party member that grants a lot of basic attacks is where they will shine.

Is the Executioner underpowered, not a striker or both? (or am I missing something?)

So I've rolled my supposed Striker and compared it to the other strikers, and I've come to the conclusion: Executioners suck (as Strikers). Let's be honest, their damage is hurting. Sure they have nice little tricks like shifting back and forth at will, silencing an enemy... the poison is cool...

    Armor of Repulsion - Useless?

Thanks guys. That makes this armor even better than I'd hoped. But now I have a new problem...! Do I replace it with another level 3 magic leather armor for my Infernal Pact Warlock? I was thinking Armor of Sudden Recovery... quite cool. "+1 item bonus to saving throws against ongoing damage"...

    Armor of Repulsion - Useless?

Now shifting I hadn't considered. That would definitely be a good thing. Ok sold. ;)

    Armor of Repulsion - Useless?

Armor of Repulsion - Minor Action. Whenever an enemy moves into an adjacent square, you can push that enemy 1 square as an immediate reaction. This power lasts until the end of the encounter. From what I can tell from the rules for Immediate Reactions, they don't interrupt (like an Immediate...

Rant on Errata and what Wizards need to do to move forward.

Your absolutely right. My mistake. The rant is still valid. It needs to be addressed. The threads will continue--and should--until there's a change.

If the rant is still valid then it needs to be re-addressed. Thanks.

Rant on Errata and what Wizards need to do to move forward.

Yeah it's a sweet deal for you, but not for Wizards. This is my point exactly. People will stop buying rushed, unfinished work in print form especially when they had the option of the CB which gets updated constantly. CB was like a lifeline, more for us than for them, which got cut when the new...

Rant on Errata and what Wizards need to do to move forward.

Read more carefully. "IF" is typed there. This means that I acknowledge the fact that I don't have the information in front of me to claim one or the other, and simply speculate. This is totally different from the droves of self-proclaimed marketing experts here that seem to have all the facts...

Rant on Errata and what Wizards need to do to move forward.

I'm basing my opinion not on threads but on using it just days ago. It's still awful. I'm not going to waste time talking about the same things people are still posting constantly in other threads.

I love comics. What the hell are you talking about? When I mentioned children's books, I was talking about just that: children's books. I never mentioned comics being only for children.

Rant on Errata and what Wizards need to do to move forward.

Here's my own version of a summary, minus the sarcasm. Develop products and release them when they've been properly playtested and are READY for release. Not before. Create a solid, well developed base of products that work when bought off the shelf, and branch out from there. Give customers...

Can Wizards turn around their D&D support?

I agreed with your post except for the quote above. Normally I'd have said that you're probably right here. However, after the old offline CB was released, and because it was very, very convenient and worked so well, I thought this was the new direction for D&D. Finally, we're getting close to...

Can Wizards turn around their D&D support?

Interesting. Correct me if I'm wrong (which I totally could be) but aren't the updated dragon stats and abilities only available in the DDi Compendium (which you have to pay for)?
