    Anyone buying Dreamblade?

I picked up a starter and 3 boosters last week. Haven't had a chance to play beyond the online demo yet, but I hope to soon. It's a bit of a let down that the bases makes the figures a bit harder to work into other games, but they're still usable, IMO. However, I'm picking them up not for use...

Why do you homebrew? or Hombrew blues

I essentially homebrew because I like to kitbash like a SOB. ;) I still use a particular setting as my base in a sense (right now it's IK), but then I add in all the parts that I want from other settings and my own ideas. There's yet to be a setting that offers exactly what I want in a...

    The glory of OD&D

Isn't this one of the signs of the Apocalypse? Damn you, Diaglo for bringing about the End of Days!!! ;)

    How did you start?

I got started via The Legend of Zelda, which led me to Heroquest, and then into D&D.

D&D 4E When would you actually want 4E?

Never honestly, but since that's not an option I'll take it (and possibly leave it) whenever it comes.

    Judges Guild revival

Yep, same here. It's OK, but definantly not my cup of tea. Oh well, money saved in the end.

4th ed -- yeah, but are you actually ready to leave behind the 3rd?

I have no desire to change games. Heck, I'd much rather write my own D&D-derivative than dump even more money into another edition!

D&D 4E 4E indications - Has it slowed your purchases alreadY?

Not at all. The only thing that's slowed my pruchases is there isn't much coming out that's too interesting to me.

    Anyone buying Dreamblade?

DB has the typical common/uncommon/rare scheme. As far as a gallery goes, the last thing I saw on the website was only about 10 figures out of the 92 (?) that's in the set.

When Did You Start Playing D+D?

First played D&D with the Moldvay Cover Basic set borrowed from a friend's father back in 1992. I quickly went out and bought AD&D 2E after my first session with 1E just a couple nights later.

The monstrous cruelty of American Idol

I agree that Joe is better by far, but Hicks is reminiscent of him to me. Plus, I like the music that Hicks chose to sing more times than not. This is the first season that I've even really watched thanks to Hicks. The other years didn't have much to offer someone with my tastes in music.

    Titan Quest

I picked it up shortly after launch, and I've enjoyed it. It's pretty mindless hack and slash in the Diablo vien, but it's well done and, well, fun.

The monstrous cruelty of American Idol

I hear this alot, but he's honestly the first winner I'd even consider listening to. I'm an old fan of Joe Cocker and Hicks reminds me of him. As for the cruelty...that's the chance you take going on a FOX show. That sounds cruel, but it's the truth.

Best Save for Money RPG (non)Purchase

I had no idea that all the Races of and Complete series were necesarry purchases... At any rate my vote is for the Everquest II RPG since the series seems to have died after the first release.

Worst Value for Money RPG Purchase

Gamma World D20. Poor execution in every regard. I started off using bits and pieces, but thanks to RPGObjects, D20 Future, D20 Apocalypse, and a few other products, there's no reason for me to even look to that book. I was really looking foward to it...

    Eric Noah's Info

Sure. They cleaned up the rules, but there was a lot of new material from EP 2 in the RCR. Minis sell better. The RPG sold well by all accounts I've ever been able to find on the subject. Minis have a broader appeal. Period. Anecdotal evidence proves nothing. My experience is...

    Eric Noah's Info

Actually, SW D20 has worked out really well for WotC. A game like that has to be updated to stay current to what's happening with the movies. Granted, I'm surprised a new editoin didn't come out aournd the same time as Ep3. However, there are several instances where the rules are...
