What was the best case of a RPG you have chosen NOT to buy?

In case of product value, for me it was probably the Epic Level Handbook, which I thought it was going to be essential when I heard it was going to be released. Fortunately, I had lots of opportunities to preview its content and stay away from it!

Otherwise, strictly in terms of how much money I saved, the best thing I didn't buy was the 3.5 PHB. I kept gaming in 3.0 and didn't have to shell more every month to keep up with endless series of Complete, Races and all the "necessary" updates. (evil grin)

Arcana Unearthed since Arcana Evolved came out not long after and I got that instead.

And any time I even remotely thought about buying any Fast Forward Entertainment product!

I had no idea that all the Races of and Complete series were necesarry purchases...

At any rate my vote is for the Everquest II RPG since the series seems to have died after the first release.
