    (OT) Cartoon/TV themes

Here's the second verse of the theme which should be obvious. Is he strong? Listen bud. He's got radioactive blood. Can he swing from a thread? Take a look overhead. Hey there! There goes a _____!

What d20 game hasn't been done [or done right] yet?

Bet David Hasselhoff would. Heck, have him as the guest DM! :D Back to the topic at hand, I second the notion of a good wuxia d20 game, Dragonfist or otherwise. Heck, the rest of Hong Kong. Jet Li, Jackie Chan, John Woo and Tsui Hark to name a few with plausible suggestions on how to keep the...

    (OT) Cartoon/TV themes

Told you I'd be nice. Here's another easy one: My name is ________, an astronaut ... a radiation wave hit and I got shot through a wormhole ... Now I'm lost in some distant part of the universe on a ship -- a living ship full of strange alien life-forms ... help me ... listen, please. Is there...

    (OT) Cartoon/TV themes

Godzirra, er, Godzilla! And Gadzooky! My entry's answer is 'Astroboy', possibly the first anime to come to the states. The hint was from the Calvin and Hobbes cartoon where Hobbes uses some Crisco to reshape Calvin's hair on the day of school photos. His new hairdo looks very much like...

    (OT) Cartoon/TV themes

Nope and nope but you are in the right ballpark timewise, at least. IIRC, it goes back even further. I'm not sure if anyone can get it its that far back. I won't reveal it just yet but here's 4 words that are a hint tho somewhat obscure. School photo. Stuffed tiger. I'll be nicer with the...

    (OT) Cartoon/TV themes

Hehe. First one: Voltron (lion one not the space ship one) Second one: Darkwing Duck, who had some of the best villains and entrance lines ever! Shall I give a hint?

If an average Halfling has a 8 Str and weighs 30-35 lbs...

It almost looks like the photos were touched up but believe me, after seeing the Ripley's episode, they most definitely are not. I wonder if him bulking up will mess with his hormones.

    [AU] Fuzzies versus Folklore

Yeah, I've noticed the crusade against furries on at least 2 different occasions. I tried running a TMNT game way back, which used the Palladium system (ick) but the critter mutation rules rocked which the new After the Bomb rpg updated. Bad timing since it was around the time of the...

Science question for the brainy among us

Probably something that someone else mentioned so here's my thoughts. Supercondensed water would very much be heavy water tho not radioactive but that's a 'duh'. The sphere won't necessarily explode. However it may expand rapidly like a balloon, possibly evenly, especially if in some sort of...

If an average Halfling has a 8 Str and weighs 30-35 lbs...

There was a Ripley's Believe It or Not! episode that had some freakishly buff 7 year old who could bench 185 lbs, which was about 3x his body weight. IIRC, he was the offspring of stuntmen, who also taught him martial arts. Apparently the kid wants to be the next Ah-nuld. Edit: Found info tho...

Urgent gaming help needed - Submarines!

I found this with a lil searching so I'm sure you might find something else: http://www.battlebelow.com/destroyer.htm http://www.submarine-history.com/ The first is destroyer tactics (anti sub) while the second is more of a history of submarines. Neither is d20 tho so improvising would have to...

    Silk production using giant spiders

It may be possible to harvest spider silk without them eating each other or the handlers at least from communal spiders from South America. Here's a link to info about them. http://www.sciencenews.org/sn_arc99/5_8_99/bob2.htm

    Dark Sun 3E rules

Here's an idea for those just itching to play a sorceror type in Dark Sun. Undoubtedly in the centuries that a Sorceror King (or Queen) has lived, they've sired offspring. Most likely the offspring would be kept as a personal bodyguard or templars but some may flee. In any case, the parent's...

(Way OT) How bad is the heat wave in Europe?

Homer J. Simpson. :D But he also put boxes of frozen vegetables under his arms to stay cool too IIRC. Hopefully noone will get far enough to need sports drinks to get the electrolytes back. If you really need electrolytes, Pedialyte (or whatever) might work tho bananas (high in potassium) help...

    Best Sci-Fi television series EVAR!

At least the writers of Brisco County tied up the plot lines (the major ones at least) before finishing the first season. Sadly, there wasn't a Christmas episode or one of those 'retrospective' episodes. It may have been that Fox just counted on its heavyweights: X-Files, the Simpsons, Married...

    Best Sci-Fi television series EVAR!

By far my fave sci fi series would be Farscape. I've converted several over to Farscape after a few episodes. Loved all those pop culture references that none of Crichton's fellow crewmembers understood. Likewise, they acted like a real 'family', often at each other's throats. Gotta love the...

    Variant psionics?

The main thing I don't like about 3E psionics is the combat modes and defenses. Anyways, I once blundered into a website that reorganized the psion especially and got rid of them. By any chance does someone know what I'm referring to and have that site?

    D&D 3.x The 3.5 sai - a piercing and/or bludgeoning weapon?

I think a tonfa was originally used as a policeman's nightstick. :D Seriously tho, at the time commoners couldn't carry weapons for self defense. Hence martial arts like karate, which used common 'harmless' farming implements as weapons. Thus the kama came from a sickle, the tonfa from a...

    D&D 3.x The 3.5 sai - a piercing and/or bludgeoning weapon?

Oops. After some rethinking, laceration would be a better description for a boxer's wound since they're being 'cut' not stabbed. However that opens another can of worms since by that logic, maces and other bludgeoning weapons also should be slashing weapons. :D
