Are you saying there is a difference? ;)

D&D 5E (2014) Frankenstein Inspired One-shot with moral dilemmas and a murder mystery (FREE)

While I like the idea, my players do not have a morale problem with killing zombies. Mine typically do not feel pain or cry for help, or talk and drink water for that matter. Might be a bigger part of the adventure though.

    Arrive AT or Arrive TO?

I might see saying that I arrived to the party early.

Can a Wish overcome natural immunities?

Another 20 year old thread worth updating. I might let a player get away with it. If the player says that he wants his charm spells to work on any creature with more than animal intelligence. The problem might be with the next wish trying to push things and saying that you want your fire...

D&D General World of the Fey and Dragon Courts

Apologies, I got through the first 2 paragraphs before I scrolled down looking for the TLDR. I found myself thinking of some threads from a year or two ago.

    Arrive AT or Arrive TO?

My car tells me that I arrived at my destination. I drove my car to my destination.

    Wish vs. Miracle

@boofangle welcome to the boards. I was trying to think of what edition this was for when I noticed it was a 20+ year old thread. Certainly not the oldest one resurrected, and it will linger for a while once again. When reading the thread, I was thinking of how I play with milestone...

D&D General Eastern Dragons in 5e

I first read it the way you meant it, but then looking at it I had a whole direction in my head with an Easter Dragon.

D&D General How do I build Crystar in D&D?

I would tend to make him a NPC and put both of them at odds with the PCs being caught in between their fight. As NPCs, I can give them and cool power I wanted, but likely base something off aasimar or just take an elemental monster. If a players wanted to play it, I think it would be based on...

D&D General Eastern Dragons in 5e

I would first ask if Eastern anything is needed in 5e. Are eastern humans or elves any different? Could one just reskin regular MM dragons to fit? I would likely just take the easy/lazy way out and just take a 5e dragon and maybe add a cool power if I needed one. If the reason is to make a...

    D&D General Adventuring Temp Agency

1 hour lunch seems like it cannot do much. 10 minutes to get and 5 to eat leaving less focus to play and meeting going late and some moving around. Sounds like you have a plan though for the sporadic numbers. I'm trying to think about what you cut out of the game to make time. Making...

JURASSIC WORLD 4: Rebirth Trailer 2

Just do not call it 65, that movie was not that good.

D&D General Is it bad to make your version of another player's character? (My mental hangup.)

30 years ago when I was in the Army a friend played in my game and he used the same name for all his PC; Carados Shadowsiege. I have not forgotten it for some reason, but I never wanted to use it. So, on one hand go ahead and use it since flattery is cool and the player is not in the game and...

    ISO Feeback/Improvement Suggestions For A Ruin History/Mythos

Seriously though, what was it built for and why did it fall? Nobody just builds a giant horror-show in the desert for no reason. Perhaps 3,000 years ago the lands were more grassland and trade flowed past the citadel which say near the mountains on the largest lake in the region. It was an...

    D&D General Dwarven Vikings

They can be anything, especially with the new edition and backgrounds and such, but traditionally and more historically, they are associated with mountains and underground. They do not like open water and sailing. Farming in mountains is not great due to soil and moisture conditions. I like...

How Long Do You Wait Before You Houserule a New TTRPG?

I plan and intend to wait until after a campaign. I would like to give the designers a bit of credit for their work and see how they intend things to play before changing for my table. Reality is more likely that it is already changed before I start. I mean, who reads the rulesbooks since I...
