I like doing away with skill points, but I don't like some of the skill divisions and using certain skills for some things - for example using appraise for identifying magic items, when Knowledge Arcana makes more sense to me.

I did most of the investigation bits (interrogations and pickpocketing), but I hardly did any of the timed flag chases. The peasants saved never added anything; they had two or three audio bits that they repeated ad naseum. I really enjoyed the ending, both the final combat, and the "epilogue"...

I've read all that stuff. I certainly agree that the OGL was created to drive sales of 3E Core Books, but I don't agree that without the OGL, D&D wouldn't be a viable brand. I'm not sure how you can measure that one way or the other, so I'm not sure that either one of us can convince the other.
