I'm just now digging into Eberron and we're playing in Sharn. So much going on there.

We went in the opposite direction and started A5E. My players like their super powers, hence their hesitancy to play OSR. I'm waffling between a PDF pledge or maybe just getting the core book. I don't know about a $200+ purchase to get everything. The starter set PDF wasn't able to sell them.

Rolling dice is fun. Being surprised by the outcome of attacks and damage is fun. As the GM, I'm also there to have fun. It adds excitement for the players to see rolls in the open. I have thrown out systems (such as Symbaroum) because I don't get to roll.
