    What's wrong with... Divine Power?

Persistent Spell Seems like a balanced solution. A Divine Favor (1st to 5th spell level) would last 1 min/level. An Alter Self (2nd to 6th spell level) would last 100 min/level, likely some hours. Even the dreaded Persistent Time Stop becomes at least... umm, thinkable. Of course, I could let...

    What's wrong with... Divine Power?

No, I hadn't yet. Only one of my players is able to cast it, he used it once (human Clr8, Str 14). But while designing some NPCs, I wondered about this spell and it's companion Persistent Spell.

    Metamagic on Limited Wish

Because metamagicked spells are de facto spells, I'm tempted to allow using (Limited) Wish for metamagicked spells. For example, you may use Limited Wish to duplicate an Empowered Cone of Acid. No feats needed. Quite powerful for both Wizards and Sorcerers, but after all, you pay 300/5,000 XP...

    What's wrong with... Divine Power?

Despite the lack of any random element, Divine Power is very random. You may sometimes get an extra attack, and sometimes a great boost to Strength. I did not notice any similar If-you-are-the-right-class-combination-and-if-you-have-the-right-strength-then-this-is-great-otherwise-you-are-out...

    What's wrong with... Divine Power?

Yeah, didn't thougth about that. Maybe +6 enhancement bonus. After all, a real 4th level spell is supposed to be slightly better than a metamagicked one.

    What's wrong with... Divine Power?

Let's analyze this spell. "The character gains the base attack bonus of a fighter of the character's total character level" No other effect, including Feats and Special Abilities, changes your BAB. Except for Divine Power and Tenser's Transformation. Feels quite wrong. IMO, this should be...

    Domain Spells

You may apply metamagic to your domain spells, it'd use a higher [/i]domain[/i] spell slot. Remember, your domain spells can only be prepared in your domain slots (one slot per spell level) and vice versa! For example, a 7th level cleric with the Travel domain may prepare an Extended Fly as his...

Spiked Chain Fighter Rogue advice needed please

A Fighter/rogue is always fun to play, no matter, what's your main weapon choice. Dish out massive amounts of damage, trap handling, recon missions, social interaction... Can't you count on your fellow mage to provide you with Darkvision?

    Wizard/Sorcerer and school specialization

Sorry, but this is wrong. If you cast Wish, you can among other things "Duplicate any wizard or sorcerer spell of 7th level or lower even if it's from a prohibited school."

What makes the best Ranged Attacker?

Has the archer companions? Are they able to provide constant substantial buffing spells like GMW, Cats Grace, Bulls Strength etc? Then the Fighter, Fighter/OoBI or Fighter/Arcane Archer is truly the best Archer. He has high BAB, Weapon Spec and other goodies. If your party counts on the Archer...

    Enervation Question

It is possible to sneak attack with Enervation. The sneak attack damage is inflicted as negative energy damage. See Tome and Blood, pg 79. "For example, a 10th level rogue who makes a successful sneak attack with an enervation spell bestows 1d4 negative levels and deals 5d6 points of negative...

Area Dispel Magic: What is affected?

Consider an Area Dispel Magic. In the area of effect are 4 creatures plus 2 summoned monsters (caster level 5). Creature 1 carries some arrows with Greater Magic Weapon (caster level 6). Creature 1, 2, 3 and 4 are enjoying a Bless (caster level 3). Which effects may be cancelled? a) the...

    Magic Bow and Incorporeality

IMO, common sense dictates so. If a non-magical arrow can't overcome Damage Reduction, because "it is the only part of the weapon actually striking the creature", the same is true to incorporeality.

Re: Keen They do not generally. If they bestow their power on the ammunition, it is always stated. The description of Keen doesn't do this.

    Magic Bow and Incorporeality

Incorporeality is very different than Damage Reduction. But... Reread the discription of Incorporeality. The DMG, pg. 77 states: "They can only be harmed by ...+1 or better magical weapons...". Arrows fired from a magical bow are not magical (DMG, pg. 183), thus are not able to harm the...

Keen cannot be placed on ranged weapons like bows. It could be placed on the arrows, though.

    Gnome Artificer.

Don't think so. This is probably the same thing as a Sorcerer learning a new Spell from a scroll: You have to be able to learn a new spell, you don't earn free known spells. This makes it possible to learn "secret" (new invented, not originally on his power list) powers.
