[UPDATED] A Savage D&D 5E Campaign Setting From the Makers of PRINCES OF THE APOCALYPSE

In like Flynn! (and I almost never contribute to kickstarters!)

The Demon Lords of Out of the Abyss

Pretty sure I went to high school with all these guys.

    D&D 5E (2014) Monsters for a Second Monster Book

Bodaks, Brain Collectors, Ixitxachitl (normal and vampiric); Neogi; Neothelids and Nightshades. That would make me happy.

D&D 5E (2014) I have a sneaking suspicion about how they are going to expand 5e via splatbooks....

Except that they are already providing it to players free via pdf. See, for example, what they did with the new spells and classes contained in the PotA adventure. I think we'll see new subclasses, races, spells, feats, etc. on a modest "as needed basis" in upcoming adventure modules and in...

    D&D 5E (2014) Do you ever create a PC off a mini?

My fave! Third stage of Ral Partha's 3-stage anti-paladin! Got him all the way to level 13 before karma caught up with him.

D&D 5E (2014) Unhappy with Psionics requiring Far Realms flavor

Significant excluded middle here, of those of us who couldn't care less whether or not the fluff ties it to any particular setting.

    D&D 5E (2014) Is "Mystic" a bad class name?

Put me down for another pro-"mystic" vote. Yeah, it's generic, but "psion" sounds way too modern.

New D&D Survey: What Do you Want From Older Editions?

I suspect it wasn't on the list of options for the same reason we didn't get a psionics option: it's a no-brainer and they already plan to address it at some point. It may be taking longer than many would like, simply because, on one hand, it tends to step on the toes of other classes and...

D&D 5E (2014) MUSING: An Evergreen, static Fifth Edition...

I'm just fine with the present pace. Eventually, I'd like to see a printed compilation of the UA articles (which will hopefully include psionics), and maybe a second Monster Manual. Add in one or two adventure paths a year, and that's about all I'll need for the next ten years or so.

    Infinity and beyond.

D&D 5E (2014) Does anybody else wish that WOTC would release paper pawns, similar to Paizo?

I'd say about a third of our encounters have been pure ToM, so minis haven't been necessary for those, but for the other two-thirds, I've been using a combination of Pathfinder pawns and MV pogs. The pawns are used mostly for PCs, and it has been a little frustrating for a couple of the players...

D&D 5E (2014) With the Holy Trinity out, let's take stock of 5E

5e has already established itself as my favorite edition. The only question at this point is the "margin of victory." If it plays reasonably well at levels 10 and up it will be an absolute blowout.

D&D 5E (2014) We are betting a LOT on the DMG.... will it deliver?

Honestly, there's not much more that I need. I'm hoping for a good selection of magic items, some guidelines on monster building, the death domain for clerics, and ... well, that's about it. I hope they don't spend too much of the space on optional rules that I'll never use.

D&D 5E (2014) What do we hope to see in the DMG?

Most importantly: guidelines for creating and customizing new monsters and NPCs. From what I've seen of the contents pages of the Monster Manual, it's only got about half the creatures that I'd like to run. I've seen some rough conversion guidelines for creatures based on their hit dice and...
