The lower level guys in my epic game have gained levels about 1 per 2 games. I'm probably in the minority when I say I'd like it to go faster, but I would so that they can fight buffer stuff! :]

Never DM'd a TPK, or played in one. However, the ones we nearly had or that happened while I wasn't playing happened due to player hubris/stupidity. Unfortunately, it happens, but it must if the PCs are to truly fear death at higher levels. -AoA

No, not disillusioned, . . . still pretty illusioned in general ;) . 3E and 3.5 are cool, but if I had one wish it would be to make everything more streamlined. At low levels, not bad. High levels (which I prefer) can be arduous (sp??) when it comes to the kind of big combats that I like. -AoA
