    What can a rat do.....

Keep in mind that a Tiny creature is the size of a housecat or an American football, so you'll get some attention for being a fairly large rat.

A (very green) Newbie DM Question

If you're not sure about how to run encounters, get somebody to help you do a few mock combats. Hand them one or two PCs and you pick out a few monsters of the PCs' level to fight them. Set the monsters and PCs up, follow the step-by-step chart for rolling initiative, and then run through some...

    implement question

Check the compiled update. All the feats that grant implement proficiencies got lumped together in a special heading.

    implement question

DracoSuave was not speaking very precisely, but he understands. (For those of you following along at home, the implement errata can be found easily by searching for "monastic" in the update document.)

    implement question

The implement errata removed that aspect of the monk multiclass feat. Now it just gives ki focus proficiency.

    Ranger Action Flow Chart

Technically, there's absolutely no rules guidance on when you can no longer declare an interrupt. There is no wording at all that says something like "after step 3 in the attack sequence, you can no longer declare interrupts to steps 1 or 2." If you have a relevant FAQ entry or Customer...

Advice on Whether or Not to Join Encounters

I totally understand this situation. The regular DM for the Encounters sessions I went to was actually outstanding, but his job called him out of town from time to time. The back-up DM he chose was... pretty bad. He wasn't as awful as the OP's DM, but it still put me in an awkward position...

    Adamantine Weapon

The issue is that there aren't enough suitable creatures for you to routinely fight them.

    Are Multiattacks a Problem?

Because Dual Weapon Attack is the Scout's striker mechanic. Their only striker mechanic. Rangers get Twin Strike as well as Hunter's Quarry and they can load up on minor and immediate action attack for even more DPR. Now that they've printed a class whose only striker feature is Twin Strike...

    Adamantine Weapon

Gargoyles often have an alternate form that gives them resist all. There's some monster I've fought that has something like resist 5 weapon attacks. And there's the Terrasque. Sometimes objects have resist all, but usually they just have a boatload of hit points. In general, though...

    Battlemind, Seeker, and Runepriest

The Battlemind is an odd duck. The class features don't do much defending or stickiness by themselves, but with the right powers and tactics you can more than make up for that. The biggest problem with the Seeker is the powers. Most of them are soft control that count on piddly damage to...

    Updated Monster Damage

This is getting kind of ridiculous. Google is your friend! Monster manual 3 new damage expressions are also summed up by the Monster Manual 3 on a business card.

    So, About the Dejada...?

Check PHB p.217: It then uses slings as an example.

If it's an obvious choice then it's broken

They've tried working with it. People have tried out a lot of Seeker builds, but in every case, they discovered that they could swap the Seeker part out for something else and get a better result. Thus, awful. Their class features are decent, so a Primal Power 2 could really turn things...

If it's an obvious choice then it's broken

The seeker was written off because it's awful. Look at some wizard encounter powers. Starting at level 3, you can throw out daze, blind, and immobilize over and over. Compared to that, Seekers get extremely mediocre powers except for a few standout options. Even a backup plan of single...

Haunted Temples Map Pack and Elemental Hero's Handbook

I wonder what the maps are made of. Are they just standard poster maps, or are they laminated so they might stand up to more than one or two uses?

    Minor Action (save ends)?

Yes. None of the powers were so awesome they needed the investment of extra actions as well as a (save ends) to balance them. Also, it was far from obvious that your interpretation was the correct one.

    Triggered Actions - Some Clarifications?

Let's imagine my fighter is wielding a greatspear and hits with the power Weaponmaster's Strike. If that enemy shifts, I'll get the opportunity to make a Combat Challenge attack and an OA, both triggered by the shift. Yes, it would be legal to take both attacks.

Would you allow a companion animal as a mount?

You mean like a ranger or sentinel? I'd absolutely allow it. As long as the PC is the appropriate size to ride the creature, I don't see any problems. In fact, I have an LFR character that rides his raptor animal companion as a flying mount.

    LFR retraining

Ta-da! Everything you ever wanted to know about LFR rules. The gist of the rules is that once you level up, you can go back and re-pick all your character elements except for race and class.
