I think this is a valid statement. One of the reasons we only use the Dragonborn stuff from 3.5 is because the DM and I talked about it extensively first and made sure to balance what we imported. That way we didn't accidentally bring in any broken mechanics or ideas.

In my opnion, it's important to remember that just because you have cash that doesn't mean you can spend cash. I've had plenty of DMs (and been the DM) who simply said "No, that item is not available in this city." So yeah, the big fear of players having too much gold/platinum/astral diamonds...

Yeah, not having to spend time is key to me. I don't have much free time. But if I'm reading that right, and it really is 2x of the Basic set, and 1x of the Expert set, that seems decent enough. We'll know for sure in a few days when it arrives, I guess.

+1 to this. I used to just keep a list of my spells and flip back and forth through the book for descriptions... I love using Perram's cards (though I print them up on full sheets.)

Hey anyone know what happened to the baby tshirt (or onesie) that ThinkGeek used to carry with the character sheet on it? It had everything at low numbers except CHA, which was ridiculously high, and awesome. I can't find it on ThinkGeek and a Google search has turned up nothing useful yet.
