    Proposal: Things to be nerfed

Not to be disagreeable, but I'm pretty sure that if the multiattack power is doing less damage than the large [W] power does, you aren't making good enough use of static bonuses. Everything comes at an opportunity cost, too. If you miss an attack with Rain of Blows... meh, you should expect to...

    Proposal: Things to be nerfed

If the Cleric is really worried, he drops Beacon of Hope prior to Consecrated Ground to heal 6+Cha for the duration of the fight.

    Proposal: Things to be nerfed

Yeah, I find that sensible rule interpretations often tend to "implicitly nerf" things that are overpowered. Not really. "Typing" penalties removes only -3 (-2 from cunning weapon and -1 from phrenic helm). The wizard continues to hold the Earthroot staff offhand and picks up the Orb of...

    Proposal: Things to be nerfed

Your first and third points are well-taken, but I still disagree here: Earthroot Staff grants a save penalty equal to its enhancement on your powers that impose the slowed, immobilized, petrified or restrained conditions. Sleep has two parts: a save-ends Slowed, followed by a save-ends...

    Proposal: Things to be nerfed

As was helpfully pointed out in the thread you linked, -6 OoI at lvl 11 requires gimping your character or the use of a Daily item power. Ruling that the Spider familiar affects the save penalty on anything besides Slow and Immobilize conditions is just poor logic on the part of the DM. In the...

    Proposal: Things to be nerfed

Orbwizard at lvl 11 has a maximum of -8 to saves (and that only vs. will). An elite gets +5 to saves. An orbizard is not even close to locking down an elite until mid-paragon, and then only 1/day.

    Proposal: Things to be nerfed

Concern about the orb wizard is imo pretty misplaced in a PbP game. The build isn't capable of "locking down" an Elite until mid-Paragon Tier, and is played as a standard Staff of Defense control wizard until then. By the time any PbP'ers here hit mid-paragon, MM2 will long have been in the...

"The bow is deadly" observed Grim "But you haven't seen what I can do until these blades dance among my enemies" Grim pulls his long, horn-handled swords out from beneath the table and affectionately rubs the pommel of one.

Pretty sure they picked up Vrss'k and ran. We've got a level 1 adventure party forming in the Hanged Man if you'd like to come along, though.

Grim eyes the ragged dwarf. "Indeed? I've seen monsters in my time who would crush you underfoot if you were all that stood in their way." Grim switches swords and continues to polish the horn pommel. "Still though... I was bored when I left for here and I've been nothing but bored since I got...

    L4W Discussion Thread III

That last bit is the part that worries me. I've been RPing in the tavern a bit, and I would like to go out on an adventure, but I'd like some assurance of actually getting xp for going. It's been two weeks since I created my character, and he has gotten no approvals despite 2 emails to the...

    Tavern Thread: The Hanged Man

Grim stands, picking up his swords as he does so, and crosses the room to the table Xoc, the dwarf and the halfling have occupied and takes a seat. "Think those two over there are arguing over the hired help? Really though... so far Daunton had been somewhat... less than I'd anticipated." Grim...

Grim takes a seat at a corner table, feeling the frost of the ale in his hand more than the eyes on him. He's felt them all his life, and these are less hostile than many he's felt before. That Halfling trying to look uninterested, though.... why do the little people always act so suspicious of...

The door opens slowly and a tall figure in a dark green cloak slips inside. He greets the bouncer in a gravely voice- It's Grim, friend. How be ye? Grim turns to the barmaid with a hint of smile It's getting warmer out there, lass. Warmer than I'm used to. What do you drink here in Daunton...
