While total defensive do you threaten adjacent squares? Flank?

I believe Hypersmurf is meaning the opponent being flanked is the one who is unconscience. In other words, the unconscience opponent still can be flanked even though he isn't aware or worried about opponents on opposite sides of him. Basically this throws the whole "he's considered flanked...

While total defensive do you threaten adjacent squares? Flank?

Though I can understand why people wish to discuss on how the opponent would believe he is threatened let me remind you the rules do not pertain to the opponents feelings. The rules state: Let me also again quote the definition of threaten. By that definition when you use Total Defense...

While total defensive do you threaten adjacent squares? Flank?

Throughout your entire post Dingo you are using “fighting defensively”, can I assume you mean total defensive? Since fighting defensively would make your statements false according to the rules. You are correct, if you are referring to Dingo’s post I believe he meant total defensive in place...

    Improved Grab feat?

This might help. EDIT: I realize you probably were not asking for the description but thought I would add it anyway.

    Gaming Without Alignment

I typically don’t stress alignment in my games though I do ask for the player to choose an alignment at character creation. This is mainly for the player to get an idea of the morality of their character. Once the campaign is in progress I don’t care if the players begin acting differently than...

While total defensive do you threaten adjacent squares? Flank?

According to the glossary description of threaten it states: According to the glossary you threaten if you can make a melee attack. According to the rules of Total Defense it requires a standard action so therefore you cannot make a melee attack due to it being a standard action. According to...

While total defensive do you threaten adjacent squares? Flank?

That is why I asked and no there is no written statement in the RAW (AFAIK) that states yes or no. Due to total defense being a standard action you cannot make a melee attack during that round. Due to the restrictions of total defense you cannot make an AoO. By those two statements you can in...

While total defensive do you threaten adjacent squares? Flank?

This question came up on the WizCo board and I was curious as to the opinions here. If you are in a flanking position and are total defensive do you provide the flanking bonus? While total defensive do you threaten the squares adjacent to you?

    Complete Divine Errata

Recall though that arcane spells of 3rd level cap out at 10th and many 1st level arcane spells cap out at 5th. Granted, I may be wrong in attempting to use arcane spell caps to justify divine but I don't see a problem with it.

What Bardic Music abilities constitute a standard action?

I would have to agree with you. :) My own belief was #1 was correct but I figured I'd ask last night. Couldn't sleep, so why not? :D

What Bardic Music abilities constitute a standard action?

This question was posted by another user on the WizCo board and I don’t feel it got the proper attention it needed, or at least never fully discussed. So I have brought it here in the hopes of better responses. Please read the full post before posting yourself since there will be both points and...

    Warforged questions

It seemed relevant last night. Lol, I guess I shouldn't post things when I'm tired since I miss the obvious stuff. Sorry all, at least it gave me a laugh.

    Warforged questions

I’m tired so I apologize if I don’t make much sense in this. One observation to note is that a battlefist enhances the warforges’ natural attack, or his slam attack. So the question is whether or not a natural (slam) attack can be considered as a light weapon? It states under TWF that an...

    Warforged questions

I would have to disagree on the account that the armblade states it fits over the hand and forearm. In order to use it two-handed it would require the warforged somehow holding on to the armblade well enough to inflict the additional strength damage as noted for a 2-handed weapon. I don’t see...

    Warforged questions

As to question #4 I would go with the Vampire the Requiem rules. Vampires in VtR obviously do not breathe and therefore have no sense of smell. But if the vampire chooses to make a conscience act of smelling they can only during that time. As in "My vampire character is going to take a deep...

    Can you tumble while charging?

I wouldn’t allow the player to tumble during a charge even with the accelerated tumble. My reason, the statement “and nothing can hinder your movement”; emphasis on the hinder. IMO if you need to tumble than your movement is hindered. This is of course in my opinion.

    Keen/Improved Crit

I believe critical hits don’t necessarily mean anything more than a normal hit. Criticals are rather rare in our games and only happen a few times a session, and when they do the player tends to roll low on their dice rolls. Often to the point their roll is lower than had they rolled max damage...
