    Way of the Succubus Monk

That and, well... we've had the rules for non-consensual murder for a while now. It all depends on how its portrayed. As I alluded to with my initial post, discretion is the responsibility of the table. What works for some may not work for others. To each their own.

"Theater of the Mind" or Map and Minis?

ToM & online images, hastily cobbled together maps in MS Pain, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. We exclusively game online these days, via Discord. All our game texts are digital. Occasionally, a player will roll their own dice in real life, for the fun.

How many gods is too many gods?

Throw a golden apple marked, 'To the prettiest one' amongst them and find out.

If Gibberlings don't make it into Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes, I'll be mildly upset!

Yes. In Technicolor. Spoiler Alert: IT WAS AMAZING  Narrator: And it was amazing.

    D&D 5E (2014) Joe Manganiello’s article on D&D at NBC News

When I introduce my students to D&D (and pen & paper rpgs in general) I like to open with: ''It's like a computer game. With no computer. Or rather, everyone playing is the computer.''

If Gibberlings don't make it into Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes, I'll be mildly upset!

I do love Gibberlings. We had a dwarf player character die staging against a horde of them - near maximum 'number encountered' rolled that day. It was glorious. Their axe became a magical weapon right there and was discovered by another party IRL years later. Crazy gibbering loons <3

    Way of the Succubus Monk

I find all this tastefully presented sexual content rather shocking!*. Now, if you don't mind, my Way of the Long Death Monk needs to devour the immortal essence of some more innocent people. And yes, I can assure you it is a truly horrendous process, though obviously I have the good sense...

Booting a Player (and setting a good example?)

More and more I find folks are afraid (yes, afraid, though specifically, afraid due to a lack of effective tools with which to use) of being perceived as being intolerant, not nice, the 'bad guy' in social situations, especially in small social groups. I've dealt with a fair number of groups...

Booting a Player (and setting a good example?)

It can help to remember: Someone may not be a jerk - but they can engage in jerk-like behaviours. So, it's not about 'are they really a jerk or not?'. Rather, its about which behaviours will you encourage. And jerk-like behaviours are generally not to be encouraged. Anyhoo -- TLDR: see...

Drizzt Do'Urden Poll: Love Him Or Hate Him?

He's basically D&D's version of a Boy Band: Manufactured, over-hyped and marketed for good 'ole hard cash. Granted, he's dreamy.

Dragon+ Celebrates 30 Years Of Drizzt

    Oh yippee. Drizzt. Yaaaay. ;)
  16. Gardens & Goblins

I know magic items are unnecessary but

When I DM: - I'll throw in Consumables as and when - for a specific quest, as some flavour, asa bonus etc - Characters are currently starting at 9th and begin play with an Uncommon Item. Emphasis is placed on novelty rather than optimizing for synergy. - Items are granted based on the quest...
